Vernor Boxing Club was established in August of 2006. The founder and head trainer, Simon O. Herrera, has been working with fighters since 2002. He started training in MMA(Mixed Martial Arts) at well respected gyms such as Ambrose Academy and Cooper's Muay Thai. He then became more focused in the boxing world, working out at Kronk boxing both in Detroit an Dearborn. He now trains amateur fighters out of Detroit, MI.
