Victor Breyer (1869-1960) ; promoter, judge and boxing journalist for the "Echo des Sports".
He is one of the members of the “Association of sports journalists” , founded on February 28, 1905 by a group of sports journalists concerned with defending their interest and their specificity. The first steering committee is made up of eight members: Victor Breyer, Paul Champ, Lucien Faure, Camille Guyard, Georges Le Roy, Pierre Sauvestre, Marcel Violette and Jean Lafitte.
In 1903 he co-founded the French Boxing Federation Fédération Française de Boxe.
He was President of Société Française de Propagation de la Boxe Anglaise and had an official mandate by the New York State Athletic Commission, (consequently acting on behalf of some American boxing authorities) to sign the Protocol creating the International Boxing Union in 1913.
