"Throughout the first four rounds, neither fighter did not mount any serious offense and would prefer fight on the inside. As the bout progressed toward the middle rounds, both stepped the activity and punch output. During the sixth, Torktaulova landed a solid punch and taunted Rodriguez to chase after her, despite the booing from the 1,286 in the crowd.

Despite heavy trading between the two on occasion, Rodriguez did just enough by scoring well to the head and slip underneath Torktaulova's height and reach advantage.
