Missing his two front teeth, Johnson was carried to the ring in a coffin, and rose out wearing a black cape and smiling his 'Vampire Smile' at the fans.

3/6/81 Johnson was the first man to defeat future light-heavyweight champion Donny Lalonde in Winnipeg, Canada. Lalonde gained revenge in a return bout and stopped Johnson in the second round.

4/25/81 Johnson knocked out Dan Kiser in Sikeston, Missouri causing Kaiser's leg to be broken as he crashed to the canvas.

After he quit boxing, Johnson became a bus driver in his home town of Middletown, Ohio.
