Willie Ross was a well known middleweight who fought professionally from 1960-1965.
Ross’s exciting style earned him the nickname of “Rockabye”. He did some amateur boxing before joining the U.S. Army, but it was while serving with the 24th Infantry Division in Germany that he really earned his trade. His overall record of amateur and service bouts shows 64 kayos in winning 75 of 78 fights. (Source: The Ring magazine, October 1960 issue, pages 42-43.)
