Worked as a driver for the Oslo newspaper VG and was a well known figure in Akersgata, Oslo's newspaper- street. Died at the age of 61 in a dry-out institution for alcoholics.
Although he never won a pro fight, Olsen was always confident in winning. Against the much stronger Belgian Jack Sylveer in 1964 he even invited his 13- year old daughter ringside. She had to watch her father take a terrific beating.
