"Alvaro 'Indian Yaqui' Lopez didn't dilly-dally for 10 rounds with Mexican journeyman Benny Barra, as he stopped Barra at 1:41 of the 5th round. Referee Charley Roth halted it as Lopez rained an awesome combination of punches on the 6-1 underdog. Barra staged a mild rally in the 2nd round, landing a glancing right but didn't do much thereafter. A series of stiff jabs made his nose bleed in the 4th and a four-punch combination made him sag against the ropes. Surrounding Barra, Lopez kept hammering away in the next round until Roth stepped between them and signaled the end." -The Las Vegas SUN
