Pro Boxer: Record
"Say, boss, I wish you would tell the folks that I'm not from Syracuse or Buffalo," said Young Bebob to a local scribe. "Why, I was born and raised up in Niagara Falls," Bebob went onto say. "But I expect to locate right in Rochester from now on. I have made some good friends among the
colored people here, and I think Rochester is one of the finest cities I've ever been in."
When Bebob was asked to give his right name he replied that it was Daniel Coleman. He has been variously called Bebob, Bedob and Debob since he first appeared in the Genesee arena. It develops that when he was boxing in the middle west up until about a year ago he went under the name of Kid Bobo.
There he met the Dixie Kid, Cyclone Scott Williams, colored champion of the west; Danny O'Brien, of Salt Lake City; Frank Olmstead, Harry Lindsay, Jeff Clark and others.
