Pro Boxer: Record

"Tommy O'Toole, native of Plymouth, was one of our best fighters in the ring ten years ago, when he became a fighter for Uncle Sam in the 109th Field Artillery. After the war Tommy was still a good fighter, but in recent years, he had trouble getting bouts here. Then he hopped up to Maine on a honeymoon, substituted in a pinch against a good featherweight and licked him. That paved the way for the Plymouth boy to win the championship of Maine - and the folks here at home to sit up and take notice." Wilkes-Barre Record, January 6, 1928.
