"Long-time heavyweight contender, Zora Folley, Chandler, Ariz., punched out a lop-sided 10 round decision over Billy Joiner, Cincinnati, last night at the Silver Slipper. The near-capacity crowd saw Folley take command from the opening bell and score repeatedly throughout the fight with stiff left jabs and straight right-hand counterpunches. Folley won the first four rounds before Joiner mildly rallied to take the 5th round. But Folley swept the next four rounds before losing the final round to the Ohio boxer. The loser had a great deal of difficulty penetrating Folley's tough defense and only twice in the fight scored with telling blows." -The Las Vegas Sun
