But STILL I take my hat of to Ricky for wanting to go back in the ring with the guy who gave him a kicking... there are easier options for him.
I completely agree with your first sentence - I would love to see that fight ODH v Mayweather 2 would be great.
Unfortunately towards the end of the post had me spitting feathers!!!!
B*llocks to what you say there Stu - there is one and only one reason - MONEY!!!
With regards to the outcome of the fight - Floyd will finish it earlier this time around.
What ever the reason.... still not going to give Hatton credit for taking the fight?
I wouldn't give Clinton Woods or Dean Francis a cat in hells chance against David Haye - and I would think both would deep down agree with them. BUT, would I have give them the respect for giving it a go? Of course I would.
As I would if Haye vs Maccarinelli 2 would happen. Pointless fight... but I would give Maccarinelli respect for getting back in there with the guy who outclassed him... not so much Haye though.
Same here.
And anyway - whats wrong with trying to earn a bob or two.
Stu
Just got in from work sorry for the slowness of reply!!!
I will state again Ricky Hatton has done bloody wonders for British Boxing - absolute wonders his style of fighting and his character has really helped the rejeauvenation of the sport - no one should kid themselves otherwise a lot of that is down to Ricky Hatton - not all of it - but he has had a big part to play.
It is not sour grapes whatsoever when I say forget the "heroic" b*llocks - or the what a brave chap - or give him credit blah blah blah - Stu I am serious when I say if I was offered the same sort of cash and I am fat, 44 and f*cking past it - I would fight absolutely anyone in the world!!!
Its money stu and only money Hatton is fighting Mayweather for the second time around!!!
Nope I do not blame him - and Hatton would be a f*cking idiot if he didn't take the fight when there is that much on the plate - but lets forget the bravado shit from Hatton, his team and his fans - it is about one thing - money!!!
And just for the record - Hatton gets beaten far earlier this time around.
