Maybe Gomez is not the same fighter who beat AAA but he is a tough bastard and will come to fight. OK Khan will probably win by stoppage but Gomez can punch and he could catch an over confident Khan as he wades in. OK its not a 50/50 fight, we know, but most of you seem to have it 80/20. I think Gomez will test Khans skills and to call him a journeyman is not only unkind, but untrue.

Gomez's punch didn't even hurt Johannesson, he won't hurt Khan.

Gomez Is on journeymen level now, he used to be Euro class though.

id say its a 90/10 fight...what about you other fellas, what percentages are you calling this fight.

gomez has a punchers chance, but his left hook is decent.

You think Limmond would have had Johannsson on queer street? No way. We're talking different levels of punch resistance here - Khan looks a lot more fragile than CJ. Temple...chin...whatever.

Ever hear of a top level fighter who had a GREAT chin, but a poor temple??
No don't think so. You either can take a punch, or you can't.

Evander Holyfield at one stage was thought to have a poor temple - after the Bert Cooper fight. Great chin.

haye seems to have a 'poor temple' but he took some crushing shots on the chin from thompson when he was knackered and came back swinging.

Whilst Its good news the Gomez will get a decent pay day :TU:
Its a scandal how the BBBofC have given the go ahead to this .. with hindsight it clears up their position concerning Khan and Thaxton some weeks ago  they are without doubt in Fwanks pocket

Sadly at this stage in Gomez career all he`ll bring to the table is his pantomine bad guy routine .. Simon Block should hang his head in shame .. and keep his fingers crossed Gomez doesn`t get hurt.

Even if he was facing the Gomez of 5 years ago I'd have only made this an 80-20 fight because of their styles.

Now it's a 95-5 fight, Gomez will get hammered. I'm amazed he's been given this shot on the basis of being beaten by Johanneson and his "name", which has been worth very little for a long time.

He used to have a decent punch but let's be realistic.

Gomez's punch won't dent Khan, It didn't dent Johannesson who easily traded with him.

I would say 80:20 Khan currently.... if a fighter has two arms then he has more the an 10 percent chance as I found out to my cost this week on box pics.

In an attempt to catch Mr Chambers I went all in on Mike Oliver.... oops.

this post sums up why u should bet on gomez, because if Mike is winning it's by KO. Odds on KO are 100/1, and even if he only has a 20% chance of winning, it's a good bet...
