Who are the top 3 biggest hitters in each weight class?

Herbie Hide hits pretty hard at Heavyweight as does Danny Williams, Macarinelli and Thompson at Cruiserweight...Wayne Alexander at light Middleweight and Takaloo, damn i seem to have hit a mental block as for the others!

I reckon Gary Lockett is still P4P one of the hardest hitters on the UK scene, with either hand too.

Yeah i saw him on Ringside yesterday taking out that Albanian fellow and he seems to still have the power, i think he had only KO'd Jason Collins before that of late so it will be a boost to his confidence knowing the power is moving up with him.

Witter seems to have found a extra amount of power over the last couple of years since he learnt to plant his feet a bit more. I'd put him right up there in terms of punching power in his division.

Light Heavy: Oboh, Woods, Spartacus

Super Middle: Calzaghe, Reid, Magee

Middle: Lockett, Murphy, Elcock

light middle: Takaloo, Williams, Moore

welter: Sinclair (if he hasn't retired), Khalliq, Barnes

light welter: Hatton, Witter, Bami

lightweight: Cook, Murray, Vanzie

super feather: Gomez, Arthur, Rees

feather: Harrison, Brodie, Cook

Surely if Skelton was a big hitter he could knock out Francis. He may have stopped the rest of his opponents but did any of them either have a good chin or still in his prime.

Yes, but I can't think of a 3rd fighter who hits harder, most left available ARE those poor opponents he's KO'd. Maybe Keith Long deserve a mention, but then he went the distance with Holden.

Hide is supposed to be a puncher, yet McCafferty extended him, Francis extended Williams the first time aswell.

McCafferty has an outstanding chin he has extended most people he has fought. Even if he does lose how he beat Keith Long ill never know.

i don't see how people can rate Long as a puncher. You often hear him referred to as a 'slugger', yet he has only 3 kos in 8 wins.

Yes I agree, Hide has power, Williams' punches are respectable the rest are either untested or not that powerful. It is quite a bad bunch really.

Henry Akinwande (who again is not a puncher) is probably deserving of a mention, mainly because there aren't many British heavies who can punch.

I just dont think after Matt Skeltons last performance he can be considered a big puncher.

That's a little harsh considering beforehand he had stopped allcomers, if he had not been clowning around in that fight with Francis he would have won by KO i think.
