Khan has the abilty to box circles round Prescot IMO

Khan is dried out,put the fight on at lightwelter and with Khan being more slick and crafty,i think you would be shocked at the result, but hey maybe your right Khan will duck the issue and fraud the public, thats a shame and will turn Amir Khan in to a joke

Dont take it that far IMO,we are talking about an Olympic medalist at 17

The Truth is, Khan was dried out, that Jab sent from Prescot sent a shudder through Khans spine,Amir could end up killed fighting at this weight, the kid can not take it,his body is saying no more,no punch resistance whats so ever,zero... Khans chin has got worse and worse, honestly maybe he should retire because he could end up crippled with that punch resistance but

Maybe Khan can turn it around though, look at when Manny Pacquiao was weight drained and weak as a dog at lower weights being knocked out by lesser fighters, weight draining is why fighters die in the ring

That's the only hope for Khan, is that all along he has been killing himself to make weight, but to be honest, he looked healthy at the weigh in and far from emaciated.

I've not heard any talk of him struggling to make weight previously.

If it was weight problems, we will soon know it, because surely Khan will move up in weight.

yeah but look at Khans physique,Khan is packing more muscle and at the same weight, somethings wrong there

17 year old Khan would beat 21 year old Khan we saw last night IMO

Anyone mentioning a world class fighter for Khan wants shooting. Khan is chinny, end of story. If Willie Limond had you in fits, then you know you can't hold a shot. End of.

I think he should move up in weight, blame the defeat on making 135lbs, fight some bums who can't punch and then fight Ajose Olusegun. He has a fairly big reputation, but not a big punch - he's a slick boxer but I think Khan has the greater skills. Khan would win a wide UD, and a close one, at worst. I am also fairly certain that some organisation would sanction this for a minor title, if not a fairly important eliminator - EBU or WBO or something. But I honestly do think he beats Ajose with ease.

Only problem is, finding a world champion who can't fight very well to match him against.
If Nicky Cook could win a title, Amir Khan can find one Yusuke Kobori (WBA Champ) or Joan Guzman if he
beats Campbell, Guzman great boxer hasn't scored a Ko in 4-5 years.
Was it Kobori who starched Jose Alfaro? If so then I wouldn't let Khan anywhere near him.

I imagine they will get him in with Fewkes and Thaxton next, or in fact a low level foreigner perhaps but not Prescott again. Maybe Romanov even, as even though Khan is clearly chinny he could possibly outbox the Belarussian.

You're right James but where can they possibly go in the reaches for even moderate credibility? If they give him too live a test, then they run the risk of another damaging (and possibly career ending) defeat, but if they go back to feeding him dummies then that would show zero confidence in Khan.

It's going to be a tough one and I am extremely excited to see who they feed him next. If they complain about Rubio swaying them into matching Khan with a puncher then they are guilty as charged of over protecting him. Surely, if he is to become a world champion as he so often tells us, then they would have had to have put him in with a world class puncher at some point??

No is the answer! Khan could have been matched easily to a "world title fight" if they had of wanted.

I think they are going to have to do one of two things.

1 Give him a couple of confidence builders, and then go for a rematch (unlikely)
2 Feed him another 10 light punchers hope he can stay unbeaten and avoid getting wobbled or decked in any of the fights, and then try and get him a vacant title shot.

Khan's lack of punch resistance precludes him from being a bona fide world champ. He makes Thomas Hearns look like Oliver McCall.

Nigel Benn was always known for being a bit brittle and vulnerable, but he was never taken apart like that with a single shot.

As a matchmaker that's an honest list.

I'd stick Murray instead of Hatton just to sort the domestic scene. Then he can think along the lines of his amateur trainer, Mick Jelley, of being a world champ by the age of 27. Jeez how many fights is that? How many potential knockbacks is that?

But are people going to pay good money knowing as soon as he has to fight a decent fighter with a bit of a dig it will be lights out again. As you say a rematch with Prescott is unlikely because of the huge risk. It wasnt so much Khan losing a fight but who he lost to. Now Prescott has the reputation of beating Amir Khan he will get decent fights more easily and I dont think he will hang on to his unbeaten record for very long, he just isnt that good.

Its a tricky one. You dont want to be putting him in with someone who is too light fisted it will send out the wrong signal but you dont want to put him in with another banger either. I would say maybe a few mediocre commonwealth defences to get his ranking back up before going on to bigger things. A rematch with prescott would be career suicide. To be honest maybe putting him in with the level of opposition he has been facing gave him to much confidence. The way he shot out of the blocks against prescott and swinging away deserves to get starched. But people will be comparing him with audley, the first real test and you get beat. All i can say is pick yourself up, wipe of the dust and go at it again.

Prescot again for Amir granitechinned Khan if he has balls! ...maybe a confidence builder first against a touch fighter...however i think it would be better all round for everyone if he quit boxing as I am sure he has made enough cash if he spends it wisely. His legs went from a jab ffs.....this means his chin is getting worse?.... but He did look bigger and seemed to have a bigger neck than I remember from his previous fights but he also looked nervous in there..maybe its just me having a fancy but only had like 50 seconds to observe him vertically...

I Think Khan needs a few tune-ups, and a rematch with Prescot.

I think Khan can beat him. He needs to sort his game out. His Defense was non-existant against Prescor, and i dont care who you are, if you are going to walk foward with no defense, and get hit clean like he did, you are going down.

I don't get why people on here, and people from Khans camp are now saying he shouldn't have fought Prescot? If you want to be the best in the world you should take on anyone.

I can't see how Amir can claim he could have beat Prescot in his interview. It's not like Amir Khan got knocked out in the 11th round is it? It was total annihilation .

Anyone who gets wobbled with the first JAB thrown has no chance in hell.

What's the point fighting Featherweights/Super featherweights all the way to a title shot? I guess it would fool some mugs.

Khan isn't good enough to fight any decent lightweight puncher. He's not good enough to fight any lightweight he has good boxing skills either. I would guess that John Fewkes would be his next fight. He has 2 KO'S in 18 fights and a TKO loss. He looks the perfect Amir Khan opponent. Although it wouldn't surprise me if Fewkes beat him.
