This smells, due to Sports Network......sorry I mean allegedly.tv getting that Sept 26 date from Sky for Matthew Marsh and Rocky Dean Maloney had no TV for the show anyway so was never going to be able to afford to put it on.

The mismanagement of Moore's career has been abysmal. I know he's had injuries but it's almost 2 years since he beat Macklin in that classic and he hasn't had a meaningful fight since (aside from Facey which was hardly a career definer).

Time is running out for him, I think he should forget about Europe and try to gatecrash the world scene. I see John Duddy's looking for an opponent in Belfast before the end of the year at light middle (due to the Verno Phillips fight falling through). Jamie should look for that fight, I'd fancy him to win it and then he could get a title shot in the U.S. off the back of that. None of the champs at 154 are unbeatable, in fact I'd give Moore a good shout with any of them.

Gutted.... Hopefully the EBU will do the right thing, strip him, and let Moore get on with his career.

Gutted for Moore, and gutted for the fans, as this would/should have been a cracker.

Didn't the fight get delayed first because of Moore's injury?

Baysangrouv was the first to pull out due to a broken eye socket last December. Moore was going into the fight injured (shoulder) and had a subsequent operation. Had the russian not pulled out I think (personal opinion, not fact) Jamie wouldve fought him in Dec...

I don't believe it!!!! Why is it guys like Froch and Moore who get this sort of luck? Very unfair.

The EBU must take control of this situation immediately. Moore's been waiting since December 07. The guy must be stripped and Moore matched for the vacant belt....and soon!

Keep your chin up Jamie, I hope the phrase "good things come to those who wait" comes true.

Real shame. I will get to see Jamie fight, even if it kills me!

Does the EBU strip often ('scuse the pun)? I can't remember the last time.

Whats the betting we see Baysangurov in action within 2 months, fighting a name in America. Moore was to big a risk for little reward, I'm not blaming Maloney in anyway, for me its Baysangurov's managment that has pulled a stroke here.

Thing is the promoters over here are not that big on the world scene anymore, Britain isn't the only place with money, the boxers can earn more in Europe and America than come here and defend titles.

I think you are letting Maloney away far too lightly here. He announced the fight (a press release which was on his website at one point and mysteriously dissapeared again last week) despite knowing that he did not have TV for it. Sky had already given the date to Warren for Marsh V Dean. Maloney must have known when he announced the fight that there was zero chance of it happening as without TV money there was no way Maloney was going to be able to pay for it.

There is definitely a lot more going on on both sides here but all I know is that Moore's career is suffering and that's a shame.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, they may be hanging out for a World title shot (for more money) on the back of the Euro title and 2 defences.

Bradley Pryce or Ryan Rhodes Vs Mooresy for the vacant title would do me

It's off again - Baysangurov pulled out. He has to be stripped now with Moore fighting the next in line.

Damn. I was looking forward to this. On paper there wasn't a better fight in the UK, all year.

Shame on Zaurbek Baysangurov. Or his promoters.

I am pretty fucked off actually. If the EBU don't strip Zaurbek then that's a piss poor shame. Speaking of that, does anyone know who is next in line if Moore was to fight for a vacant belt?

He's injured ffs, I seem to remember people up in arms when McIntyre was stripped of the British title when he was injured now the same people want the European champion stripped.

He's been injured 2/3 times now, and I assume that you mean me about McIntyre? If so, then please find me one post where I said McIntyre should be stripped. I actually still rate him as the British belt holder - that's why I am so keen to see Brook in against him. So, please, leave your assumptions at home because I haven't said anything untoward against Kevin.

Zaurbek is always injured every time he has to fight Moore. He was healthy enough to fight 3 or 4 times between the 2 pullouts. Europeans don't want to come over here and fight home fighters. ala Inkin-Froch, and even Branco-Lynes (original date).
