He outran him & got derided in the press for his tactics.

If he had actually stood & punched it out with Foreman, it could only go one way.

That 'loss' didn't hurt Foremans image one bit.

Tyson couldn't handle Holyfield standing up to him in 84, couldn't in 96, wouldn't at any point in his life. Holyfield always always aaaaaalways comes out on top against Tyson.

I cant see how Tyson could ever beat Buster Douglas either.

Are you kidding me?

I respect your opinion about Holyfield. I personally see a prime Tyson beating a prime Holyfield.

As for Buster Douglas.. I'm not even going to answer that,

Neveretheless, it's tough to swallow. Foreman lost, legitimately :verysad:

In 84 I don't think Holyfield could beat Tyson, but I also respect your opinion on that Holyfield was an all time great.

But Douglas was just one lucky bum and I would say the worst heavyweight champ of all time.

Yeah, right.

A world title belt. A legend's name in your column. Untold riches on the back of the victory.

Or get KO'd.

Hmm, how could I ever choose which would be best for my career?

Overall, Pat Lawler (although you could argue it wasn't a "real" loss). Then Omar Gonzalez.

Check out Boxing Illustrated, Bert Sugars editorial and coverage, BI had Foreman winning, Bert covered the ringside reporters views many of whom felt the same way, Wally Matthews in the NY Times also laid into Morrison in his editorial.

My guess is you probably never even have read any coverage of the fight.

As for 'taking it well', if turning completely around and walking away is taking a punch well. . . You're entitled to your opinion.

Well, a Tyson in the prime of his life lost 9 of 10 rds to Douglas and was completely outclassed... So i dont see what else he could do to reverse the fight, unless Douglas comes in out of shape.

So are you meaning to tell me you think Tyson came in with his best training/coach team in his corner. Had trained 100% for this fight, and did not do anything stupid outside the ring. Do you actually feel Tyson was prepared for this fight like he was when he became champion?

Prime would be Tyson coming to fight at his best.

This night would not be considered Tyson's prime.

Fighters have off-nights, come in out-of-form, & prepare poorly...that does not, however, mean they are not still in their primes.

You're right. Tyson was not 1/10th of the fighter that wiped the floor with Bonecrusher Smith and Tony Tucker.
