I actually have a list somewhere of all the fights ever staged by showtime, the first British fighter to appear there was I think Nigel Benn... let me check....aha!

Here's a quiz for you, I'll make it a new thread, who was the first British fighter to appear on showtime, and who did they fight?

Not true mate, they've shown some pretty unworthy fights lately. What about those small UK bills they've shown this year, involving Lockett, Pryce etc?
Then they pass on a fight like Gomez/Arthur??

Its because of this Fight Skool garbage that they show the small fights.

The yanks have something similar going on in the USA and in a couple of years when both lots of fighters have matured they are suppose to meet.

Its a good idea, but I think the Fight Skool theme is a bit naff.

True. They seem to have a thing for Bradley Pryce. Have shown 3 or 4 of his fights. Yet they won't show Calzaghe/Johnson.

I get the impression, though I may be wrong that not showing Calzaghe v Johnson was a bit of a slap on the wrist for Hatton not facing anyone decent. Or maybe more to the point they aren't really that interested in showing Calzaghe unless Hatton has a decent fight on the same bill.

Hatton has had more coverage than Calzaghe in the states overall i think.

I think the Americans are not that impressed with Johnson either.

He doesnt exactly have a great record.

I think the whole bill will be a bit of a let down.
