That's Paul David.
I read that David argued with Tony Dodson. Any footage of that ? Or can someone enlighten us ?

Thanks :TU:

Paul was basically saying he was lookin beyond Quigley, and Dodson / Magee were his targets.
He then went on alleging Tony had ducked fights when in truth he'd suffered bad injuries in his car crash.
Nothing serious - just the usual Presser banter - but have to say it's one of the best I've been to.
Doubt there's any footage mate.
Would you believe it, Setanta's camera packed in !!!

I can't wait for the Rhodes-Small fight, and the whole card generally.Should be a good show. Paul David is a good guy, and good fighter too. Will be interesting to see how he develops.

I was there for the Small-Pryce fight and he was ready to go.I thought the ref got it spot on, which, like twenty six says, is a shame. The impression I got from that fight was Small is comfortable boxing at his own pace, but as soon as you take him out of that/above that he starts to crumble mentally. I think Pryce would beat him again, and Ryan will have an excellent chance of cold clocking him.I hope Ryan does'nt fight angry though (Smalls chat is just hot hair that dissapears in the wind, and not worth getting angry about) and boxes like he has been doing of late.Measured and focussed.

Looked like a fun press conference.

I think Booth is just working with David Haye now North Cyprus.

He thought the same as everyone else.
F**k me you're right, I watched it again and realised after first thinking it was that Fearon fella. My apologies on that one. I've met Paul and he's a nice fella :TU:

Rhino,
First of all the previous Booth / Small relationship had nothing to do with this fight.
Small is the mandatory, nominated by the board, and Rhodes is the Champ, end of.
Went out to purse bids and both Hayemaker and Wazza bid, but Hayemaker won it.
I didn't detect any bitterness between Booth and Small - but Small made it clear HE sacks his numerous Trainers, not the other way round
Small is with a guy now that Booth thinks will be perfect for him - because he'll let Small do exactly what he wants !!!

Steve689,
Yes, Paul's a good lad.
Bit of a wind up merchant is his own right, but he and Rhodes get along fine, so there's no way Paul would be givin any props to the bloke with the really long name.
Did you know in a part of the Conference not shown, Small likened himself to Roy Jones Jnr ???

I was surprised when Antony Small left Booth. He would have brought him on and given him more focus.

Twenty Six

Thats what I thought -he started his career with him and had been amatuer with him (?), and it used to be him, Adam Booth and David Haye training near Piccadily Circus, i believe? I think he's lost out by leaving that set up, I really do.

I also think he is playing the pantamine bad guy a bit, but has in actual fact lost focus/direction along the way, and more importantly, I don't think has got the talent Ryan has.

What vs Glen Johnson?
I was ringside for his loss v Price (only because everyone had left after Khan-Limond and I sneaked down) which was about as good as it gets for me. Great to see a loudmouth shut up, and I really hope Ryan does the same.

Anyone know how ticket sales are going? I haven't got mine yet as I'm trying to round a good group up for it.

Small looks a real cocky arsehole, so he better be able to back his mouth up.......

Ryan looked liked he got under Small's skin and i hope he knocks him out !!

I would guess though that this fight may go the distance, with Rhodes winning the decision

Small (Abdul Haq) being interviewed.

Well, well... that just proves his lack of intelligence. How anyone in this day with one quarter of an inch of brain in this day can convert to this inhumane, primitive, contradictory cult is beyond me.

Small looks ridiculous in his suit with that sheet wrapped round his head and inserting Arabic into every other word he says....just pathetic

Only a muslim would changed their name to Abdul Haq and then keep the boxing nickname 'Sugar Ray Clay Jones Junior'. I'm sure Malcom X would approve.

Just looked at tickets for this- £28 gets some upper tier seats, other upper tier seats are £48 , as are some lower tier, then its £75 for the most of the lower tier stuff (or buy 3 get 1 free). Floor is £125. Plus booking fees if you buy from the arena's website.

It's a very good card, but does it justify these prices? Given the tough financial circumstances, it could be a bit pricey for some.

The pricing is ok.
3 title fights, 10 fights in total, and the other 7 producing some good match ups.
£28 with an excellent view - what more do you want ?
You could always go to a certain other Promotor's show, pay more, and not get half the entertainment.
Since when has the entertainment industry had an obligation to the tough financial situation ?
This may come as a shock to you Whicker, but the cost of geting this show off the ground isn't peanuts and guess what ?

Bit tetchy there 26. It's perfectly valid to point out that persuading people to part with their cash is more difficult in a recession.
For what it's worth I thing £28 is okay and I'm going :box:

Tetchy ?
Maybe mate but I don't see many other Promotor's pricing structures being queried in this troubled financial climate - and like I say the bills often don't match up to this.
The Arena's bang on and the view's bang on even from the "cheap seats".

Here is a link showing the prices- http ... 945294E29C

£28 are some of the upper tier- prices change as you get nearer the ring. I think the £28 ones will sell out.

Floor is a straight £125.

Compare to, say, Rendall Monroe's next defence, - a similar bill- three title fights- that is £35 for anywhere but ringside.

Yes, but you don't make a profit by charging prices people are unable to afford- that was my original point.
