Audley Harrison targets David Haye. "It's personal"
Re: Audley Harrison targets David Haye. "It's personal"
I think it is a fight Aud is capable of winning though, he has the tools and can hit hard enough to take Haye out.
I think his best bet would be to put all his eggs in one basket and go for it in the first third of the fight

Re: Audley Harrison targets David Haye. "It's personal"
I wish Audley would just piss off to be honest, I'm really sick of him and his self aggrandising delusional bullshit. Why doesn't he just take his money and bugger off, and leave the fight scene to people who actually want to get involved in a proper tear-up.
I would never call any professional fighter a coward, as they all have more guts than me, but in relative terms, Audley lacks the marbles of many other professional fighters.

Re: Audley Harrison targets David Haye. "It's personal"
It's a no lose situation, either Aud gets sparked and humiliated again or he steps his talent up to the plate and gives Haye a good test which ultimately will be good for David's development.
The likes of Jennings and Lockett were criticised for not having decent interim fights before mixing in elite class, Haye needs this experience before mixing with the Klits.
I still don't rule out Harrison upsetting the apple cart here, as long as he can believe in himself

It's most likely down to money.Neil Jones Jnr wrote:Thats what I thought.mike john wrote:if haye doesnt want to give harrison a token fight on the undercard of one of his promotions, hes hardly likely to fight him in the main event is he?
To be honest though they are meant to be friends, and Haye did get BBC exposure on Harrisons cards so why can't he put Audley on.
I wonder if Haye felt a bit of resentment to all the money and attention Audley got at the start of his career?
Lets be honest Haye was badly managed and promoted until he fought Enzo.
Cheers

AH would value himself as getting sa decent amount of money.
I see no reason whay Haye would not put AH on at some point if Audley irs realistic about his worth.
Yes - they arre friends and this is publicity.
But only 'we' know that - the average tabloid reader - in the words of Manuel - they know nothing!!

Yep. Fraudley probably still thinks he's a big draw. He couldn't even beat Rogan for fornicate's sake. Who really cares anymore?DG. wrote:It's most likely down to money.Neil Jones Jnr wrote:Thats what I thought.mike john wrote:if haye doesnt want to give harrison a token fight on the undercard of one of his promotions, hes hardly likely to fight him in the main event is he?

Re: Audley Harrison targets David Haye. "It's personal"
i think some of you are not getting the point. what audley is saying is he helped haye when haye needed helping, and he believes as freinds that haye should help him, now he needs help, and i agree. if it's true, then i agree with audley, but i would still pick haye to spark him out if they fought.
Re: Audley Harrison targets David Haye. "It's personal"
who else thinks bruno would still spark harrison out?
Re: Audley Harrison targets David Haye. "It's personal"
What is with the posts that Aud hits hard enough to catch him?
Are you having a joke? Harrison cannot punch for shit. He really cant. He is a joke, a big time joke and I said so from the get go.
I visited his camp for his debut in a place called Hustyns in Cornwall and saw enough to know he had nothing. I had letters printed in boxing news deriding him, pat sheehan from the Sun stole an article I wrote once to put him down, I put post after post on the doghouse about him. Total joke.
He has no heart, no stamina, his punch is weak and to be honest his skills, which people think are good are total garbage. He only looks "ok" skillwise because he fought sub par opponents. I would look like Ali, bolo punching, floating, flicking jabs, punching in bunches etc if i walked into the local school playground and picked on a bunch of 12 year olds.
And his power is pathetic. He fought lower, very lower tier guys and was hardly smashing them around the ring now was he??

yeah quite a few of us on doghouse realised rather quickly that audley was'nt going to achieve much. i think his performances as a pro showed that really, you can only have a few crap performances before people realising it's because you are actually crap.tobyh5 wrote:What is with the posts that Aud hits hard enough to catch him?

If this fight did somehow happen there would be a hell of a lot more viewers than the Haye v Barrett fight imo

i reckon you are right because he has name recognition with joe public plus they do not actually follow the sport to know what a failure he really is. They kinda know but dont really grasp how bad he is

Announces friendship is at an end after fight snub!
Audley Harrison announced today he is targeting a bout with long time friend David Haye, after Audley was snubbed in his attempt to kick start his career on a Hayemaker promoted show.
‘I hear David is looking for a warm up bout after Wladimir decided they over played their hand. The latest I’m hearing from America is David is going to have to wait now and Wladimir is looking at other options.’
‘I am happy to step into the ring with David and pay him back after the last sparring session we had where he took liberties after my first lost to Danny Williams. To make it worse, Lennox Lewis had come to see me. David and his sidekick Adam turned up unannounced and tried to blast me out. When people were telling me ‘he’s using you’ and ‘that was uncalled for’, I pushed it aside.’
‘When I used to put him on my shows, when no one knew who he was, he was not even required to sell tickets or help promote the show in any way, people said ‘he’s using you’, but I brushed it aside. When I let down all my friends and brought David as my ringside guest for Tyson versus Francis, ‘he’s using you’ they said but I ignored it. When I brought David as my private guest to P Diddy’s Private Party,’ he’s using you!’ they said. Over and over again I’ve heard this, but I always thought that I had read David right. I’m awake now and can’t really recall when David has really gone out of his way for me.’
‘All I wanted was an opportunity to appear on the Ryan Rhodes under-card in March. I’m told, sorry bud, no room for you. He didn’t even speak to me; he had Adam speak to me, which was even more insulting.’
‘So David, it looks like you have forgotten all the times I’ve gone out of my way for you, both professionally and personally.’
‘If you are still considering a warm up bout before your title tilt, then I’m sure the British public would love to see you send me into retirement. They might say I am undeserving of a shot at you but who else are you going to fight? You say you want a challenge, well I know you David and I don’t think you really think you can walk through me and take me out. I dare you to make this match.’
It will be personal.

Re: Audley Harrison targets David Haye. "It's personal"
http://timesonline.typepad.com/boxing/2 ... rison.htmlHarrison may have lost his world ranking, but a Haye-Harrison fight would sell. Haye now has his world ranking, filling the O2 Arena and showing Haye can draw a crowd could be more important. And as Harrison has become something of a pantomime villain, beating him could provide a big boost to Haye's popularity.

Audley Harrison is targeting David Haye???????????!!!!!!!!!!
I was wondering what profession Harrison could take up as he is no use at boxing & I think he's found his vocation in life................................................................................................................STAND-UP COMEDY!

Re: Audley Harrison targets David Haye. "It's personal"
Yes Audley's name probably still carries value in a pantomime capacity but even the casuals now realise that he's a joke. I don't foresee Haye-Harrison even being competetitive if it was to come off, as Audley struggled with not only Rogan but also George Arias and has never looked convincing, apart from when he blasted a shell of Danny Williams.
I envisage Haye pinning him on the ropes and ripping him with a combination of speed and power, as Audley cowers back trying to avoid the shots and gets sparked. Come on, he's never been an Evander Holyfield type who will drag himself through the trenches and slug it out with Haye, is he? Only one conclusion if this one came off, which in some perverse sort of way I bet it just might do.

Re: Audley Harrison targets David Haye. "It's personal"
If this fight happened it would remind me of Bruno-Bugner in terms of being something of a circus/novelty fight although of course Harrison couldn't carry Joe's jockstrap - even the 1988 Bugner.
Harrison has talked it up quite well there - Haye might as well knock him out to mark time. It would also get Haye even more in the public eye, if I was his manager and no title fight was imminent I'd take Audley for the exposure etc...

Re: Audley Harrison targets David Haye. "It's personal"
rogan beat audley in december. rogan is back out on saturday night. we have heard very little from audley in that time. im not even sure if he has a promoter now. looks like he is trying to get publicity. there is not many places left for audley to go. why would haye go from potentially fighting a world champion to a british level contender (not even sure if audley is at that level). if the klitscho fight does not come off , haye should fight another decent world name. fighting audley would not get haye any more established in the eyes of the klitscho or the americans.
Re: Audley Harrison targets David Haye. "It's personal"
It was actually 1987, October 24th, White Hart Lane to be precise.....I am not that much of a statto, I was there, first fight I ever attended. I was 13 and remember Sam Fox being introduced and everyone chanting, "GET YER TITS OUT, GET YER TITS OUT, GET YER TITS OUT FOR THE LAAAADDDSSS!" I joined in and got a smack round the back of the head from my old man!!Goz wrote:If this fight happened it would remind me of Bruno-Bugner in terms of being something of a circus/novelty fight although of course Harrison couldn't carry Joe's jockstrap - even the 1988 Bugner.

You can't go from being beaten by a taxi driver. To fighting an undisputed cruiserweight champion in your next fight.
I'd be suprised if Audley lasted around.
