So if Haye beats Wlad he has to give him an immediate rematch, if he then wins that he has to take on big brother?

Is this the normal contract stipulation made by my brothers? I think not. So why have they this time? Does not suggest supreme confidence and infact smacks of an acknowledgement/fear of defeat.

Interesting and frankly, this is being overlooked.

Muhammad Ali, small! :o

6ft 3in & 15.5 stones (215 lbs) is small? :o

Ali may not have been Godzilla, or that monster out of Cloverfield, but he certainly wasn't small, especially by 1960s & 1970s standards.

i dont see haye as a great heavyweight, great puncher yes :!: i dont think he's very tough neither.
why don't you think he is very tough?
seen him fight enough times he blows out his ass after 6rds against fragmeni it looked like he could of gived up & that was from beating someone not taking a beating,he gave up in the worlds & admitted it.
he turnt it around against mormeck but people was saying mormeck was finished & didnt even want to fight.
ill guarantee you'll never see him box his way to victory as an heavyweight, lewis had to do it haye is not capable.

ideal heavy i think once they go over 16 they dont have athletism or if they are like klitschko they are ungainly not greatfully skillfull.

haye looks roided up to me know enough people who take it,& belive he has.

Haye looked like he was going to fight one of the two in the UK. Then he offended them with that severed head pic and they became all difficult. maybe they were always going to mess him around, maybe it dawned on them that haye wouldn't necessarily sell out a big arena, or maybe haye's kicking himself now for his undiplomatic foreign policy.

Haye has only a very slim chance (maybe 15%/85% chance) against Wlad. His chances against Vitaly don't exist.

   thats a great statement he seems pumped up its a good thing,& you haft to admire his belief & wanting the best but is he just cashing himself in???a loss will prove his desire will he want to face a klitschko again he's got the weaker one.
as for brewster he did take a kicking first & saunders could dig & was very fast for a naturall unjuiced heavy, like search i believe so much as a jab could spark haye,i hope i have egg on my face but i believe im an expert on the man ;;-)

I really hope Haye can make a dent in Klitschko. If he hasn't after 2 rounds then he is in trouble IMO.

Sort of agree with Kilburn here, Although I think Haye has got 4 maybe 5 round's otherwise Klit will find his groove and may win...Hope not though....

how can haye be cashing in when he is'nt going to be making big money in this fight? he's truly been done over in the negotiations, and he's only accepted the outrageous demands because he truly feels that no matter where the fight is he'll still knock wladimir out. i suppose haye feels that it's better to accept little money, get the wins, and then the big money will come. have to see if it works out. haye must be very confident to fight wladimir on such a bad deal.

That sound bite Adam Booth gave a while back rings true for me, about Haye hurting every man he's ever fought, whether it be in sparring or the real deal.

Even if he's never faced a man as good as Wlad, he certainly has the tools to hurt him, whether he wins the fight or not.

Wlad didn't see the Sanders loss coming, I certainly dont think he took him as seriously as he'll be taking Haye. The contract clauses speak loudly of that. He's also an improved fighter, although far less fan friendly to watch. He knows exactly what Haye's all about, and what to expect.

He's going to be looking to make it as difficult for Haye to get a job done, as he can. He'll tie him up physically in any way possible if Haye gets even remotely within range, using his jab to keep him off balance and wary when he's just out of range. Unless there's some kind a gigantic disparity in speed and reflex, I dont think Haye will have immediate success if his plan is to launch big attacks early on.

I'm also a little concerned that there might be a very pro Wlad ref working the fight. If it gets ugly early on, Haye might have 2 battles to fight.

The Gurov fight (stylistically) is about as close a measuring stick as there is, in terms of how Haye will play it (granted, it's a weak comparison at best). Lots of head movement, economical with his punches, but throwing them with speed and intent. Gurov came close a couple of times early in that fight before Haye got off with the shots that put him over, if we can assume that wlad is going to land punches then it could be a completely different story. For me, it'll come to down to how Haye deals with taking Wlad's jab. If he's not on his arse after taking a few, and his game plan doesn't go out of the window from the onset of panic, he can KO him if he gets close enough to land his right. He's got a deceptive reach, partly due to his speed, and if/when he lands something significant, I have no doubt that Wlad will start to panic himself, if he isn't already out.

My worst fear is that Wlad doesn't so much tie up early as throw menacing counters. I have no doubt that even a glancing shot could end Haye's onslaught. Haye being stopped before he even gets started would be a crying shame, considering the breath of fresh air that his attitude represents.

why is it that anyone who doesnt lift weights automatically throws the steroid thing in as soon as anyone bulks up?
I am life time natural and in a few weeks will dwarf haye with comparable bodyfat
I fluctuate between 15- 18 stone depending how much time and effort im spending on my diet etc
Im a qualified fitness instructor and live on protein with zilch carbs to be fair but im not taking any supplements at all
I dont pretend to be a world class boxer though just like david haye isnt a bodybuilder
Add to that some people have the natural building blocks to increase their size more then others..

Haye said he trained 3 times a day 6 days a week for 3 years to get where he is now.. I assume that means eating ( not dietng ) and serious weights alongside running and he usual boxng training... Steroids? No!!
