Ryan rodes is on it . Personally i think its a shame that there aren't more Irish fighters on it . Maybe that's why hayemaker delayed announcing the under card , so irish fans would buy tickets assuming that there would be some more Irish on it

Wow , thats quite alot , why is it so much is it the fact that its away from home for apelby .

The promoters are quite new to the business, you can't help wondering if they are doing their sums correctly.

That's crazy tbh, as if Gilmour wouldn't have taken £50,000 and been delighted, Gilmour probably would of still got to say it was the biggest purse he'd ever dealt with by a long way. The extra money seems needless.

However I'm happy for Paul, he's a good young fighter and normally domestic fighters aren't paid enough so I'm happy he's getting his money.
I hope Lindsay is getting paid well for this too, anyone got an idea of the Belfast man's purse ?

Paul "Chuckles" Appleby defends his British featherweight title against Martin Lindsay in a mouthwatering clash at the Ulster Hall in the proper fight city of Belfast on Saturday.
Lindsay is the local star, the mandatory.
These two due to meet last year in Glasgow but Lindsay required a stint of dental surgery and was forced to withdraw. Perhaps it made more business sense. Appleby, 14-0 (9), then got a straight shot at the British title and punched out a desperately tight decision over gritty fellow Scot John Simpson at the tender age of 20. Still only 21, Appleby retained with another hard-earned decision over canny Sheffield veteran Esham Pickering in Glasgow in November.
This fight is bigger and better now.
Appleby is a great prospect and a hard puncher but Lindsay, 13-0 (5), comes off a spectacular nine-round knockout of Liverpool strongman Derry Matthews in Sheffield, courtesy of a stunning left hook. Hailed as the new Barry McGuigan a few years ago, Martin showed why with that left hook. Matthews had held a win over Simpson, which makes this even more interesting.
Both unbeaten, both 'big' featherweights, both with real talent and ambition, Lindsay is five years older than the champion at 26 but 26 is hardly old and he enjoyed a distinguished amateur career. Ultimately, home advantage in a packed Ulster Hall might just swing it in the Irishman's favour.
Can't wait.
