Re: Lyell vs Duddy spoiler!!!!!!!!
The Irish lot always seem to go quite when their men lose, but swing from the rafters when they win.
I can't wait to hear the excuses for this one.

What a shock, he needs to move down to LMW
Re: Lyell vs Duddy spoiler!!!!!!!!
this was bound to happen, sooner rather than later. a rematch win for duddy and the gravy train will be rolling again. and mark, 7 exclamation points sort of negates the point of the spoiler warning!

It was always going to happen sooner or later..
Hopefully now this will see Duddy lower his expectations and persue some fights with the likes of Lee, Macklin etc.

Re: Lyell vs Duddy spoiler!!!!!!!!
The fight was almost at light middleweight. Billy Lyell is a light middle and weighed in at 155 lbs, and Duddy was only 157 lbs. Duddy had all the advantages.brian13 wrote:What a shock, he needs to move down to LMW

tezza i don't think that's low enough, Macklin would hammer duddy into a new timezone entirely
Re: Lyell vs Duddy spoiler!!!!!!!!
I'm irish and i have absolutely no excuses.he was beaten by a better guy on the night and fair play to Lyell. As for Duddy i dont think theres any way back.Twinkle Toes wrote:The Irish lot always seem to go quite when their men lose, but swing from the rafters when they win.

Yes indeed - I had a feeling Duddy had lost after the second exclamation mark.mike john wrote:this was bound to happen, sooner rather than later. a rematch win for duddy and the gravy train will be rolling again. and mark, 7 exclamation points sort of negates the point of the spoiler warning!

What are you on about, this was hardly a surprise, I'm irish and always thought Duddy was severly limited, hes british level at best.

Although there's more danger at 154 than 160.
Re: Lyell vs Duddy spoiler!!!!!!!!
Not a surprise for me either. I scored him losin to an ancient Howard Eastman a while back.
Re: Lyell vs Duddy spoiler!!!!!!!!
I don't get why it's so important for him to move down 3 lbs. The guy he lost to is a light middleweight anyway.Emerson Poncey Name Ghent wrote:x2brian13 wrote:What a shock, he needs to move down to LMW

What are shiting on about ? most of the irish lads will not shy away when there man loses . Im disgusted ill have a look at the fight but from all reports it was awful by duddy, im sure if he won he may be referred to as british as is usual same with eddie irvineTwinkle Toes wrote:The Irish lot always seem to go quite when their men lose, but swing from the rafters when they win.

Was always going to happen eventually, I just expected it to be against a better opponent.
