Re: Cincinnati Golden Gloves Team
I read that the team going to Salt Lake City has changed. I read that Donte Strayhorn lost a close bout to Robert Easter in the Ohio Regional GG tournament. What is this tournament? Did Toledo not have a tournament or did Cincinnati and Toledo decide to combine their franchises into one team this year?
Does anyone know?

Donte should not have lost that bout, everyone in the arena said it was a horrible decision, but it is Ok they will fight again this weekend in the LBC's. Donte and Robert fought a matched bout. Donte will be representing the Cincinnati franchise and Robert the Toledo franchise.I read that the team going to Salt Lake City has changed. Re: Cincinnati Golden Gloves Team
Just as a side note, Donte beat both Robert Easter and David Craddock Jr. in our Ohio LBC tournament this weekend to advance to the regionals. I only put that because I really felt that Donte should have won the first matchup with Robert. This time we got the decision and it was in Roberts home town. I know there was some confusion when Robert got the decision at our Golden Gloves, but like I said that was just a matched bout between them. The article you seen labled it wrong, it was the Cincinnati Golden Gloves, not Ohio Golden Gloves. Dontes opponent backed out in our area so we went outside our franchise to get him a bout. Both bouts were fantastic and all three of these guys will be at the National Golden Gloves, so hopefully they will not draw each other early. Donte will be representing the Cincinnati franchise, Robert Easter the Toledo franchise, and David Craddock the Tri-State franchise. We seem to have a lot of good 141 lbers. in the state of Ohio, these three guys along with Zeddie, that is tons of competition in one state.
Re: Cincinnati Golden Gloves Team
Tell Donte congratulations. Zeddie hasn't got past his loss to Robert. He would love to have a rematch. Zed lost to Robert in his own gym. A very disappointing decision. Zeddie has a box off on May 16 against Darren Wilder to advance to regionals. Hopefully we will see Zeddie and Donte. You know it will be an exciting bout.coachgiovanni wrote:Just as a side note, Donte beat both Robert Easter and David Craddock Jr. in our Ohio LBC tournament this weekend to advance to the regionals. Zmommi what are all the amateur tournaments that zeddie has won. A couple of people have told me that he's won over 10 national and world tournaments.

Some people count Ohio State Fair Invitational as a title. Zeddie has won that title 3x.ZMOMMI wrote:1x RINGSIDEregion 8 wrote:Zmommi what are all the amateur tournaments that zeddie has won. A couple of people have told me that he's won over 10 national and world tournaments.

Unfortanately NO! There can only be one from our region. If it comes down to them it will be a great matchup again and it will be a shame that one of them will be left out.
