So who should he fight in that case?

There will be a lot of wrangling to try and get a shot at Vitali, should Danny just sit on his hands doing nothing for a while, hardly. If Danny is going to be a real player, then this fight should be no trouble, if he loses, then he likely didn't have a shot anyway....
I agree maybe it's thought best to keep Danny surfing on the crest of his current confidence wave. Keep him focussed, keep him busy. Rather than waiting for a big name next year by which time the old mental deficiencies may have resurfaced.
I think Danny fighting at home in front of a big crowd against a tough opponent who he is expected to beat... um... oh shit.

No, no let's trust that Danny is a changed man until we see otherwise. :TU:

Williams should only be put in fights where he would not be favoured I think. i.e. klitschko, I have a feeling when he is expected to win as he is here he may revert to type.

Isnt Tyson a huge puncher? If Danny Williams is mentally prepared (which he wasnt against sam) he will win... He showed us how strong he was against Tyson, also his confidence will be booming and he cant afford to be shit, hes world stage now... :TU:
yes, of course tyson is a huge puncher... your point?

Danny lost against sam not because he was underprepared, it was because he could not hurt sam at all and thus his only way of winning would have been on points, in germany. (!) If danny would have come in prepared, he still would have taken those same punches, just maybe later on in the fight. They would have had the same effect and he would have been KO'd in the same way. Now everyone knows the way to beat sam is to stick and move the whole fight. Williams is not capable of doing a gomez. he could never have beaten sam.

danny was rocked heavily by that uppercut from tyson but held on. the difference is, against sam he was nailed repeatedly and hit the deck 3 times. i believe that unlike tyson, maskaev will be able to hit danny with muliple shots. Plus maskaev hits harder than sam so the finish may be sooner.

IF danny doesn't get to oleg first.
