khan is not world class . he hasnt beat a top 20 fighter

he has been well managed , well managed away from anyone with a punch

khan resume is very poor for a guy who has been a pro for 4+ years
khan resume is a good as most at this stage of his career, compaire it to Hattons and tell me how it was any better.
There's nowt wrong with Khan's career - except for the exceptional expectations placed on him. He is earning very well for the stage he is at, and is effectively headlining shows, and being treated like a superstar.

Hatton wasn't really thrust into the spotlight until around 2000-2001, he didn't start fighting at the MEN until 2000, and didn't fight there regularly until 2001.

He started becoming a big noise around the time of the Pendleton fight as I recall, but Khan has already got way more exposure than Hatton had by that stage. In fact, he has probably been a bigger name since his first fight.

Hatton took a long time to build his profile, and didn't become an international star until he fought in the states, wheras people know about Khan in the US already - even if he isn't quite a superstar, he's only a couple of fights in the states away from that.

That being the case, Khan's career cannot be looked at quite as objectively as other fighters, with great expectationj comes forceful criticism, you cannot have it both ways.

I think Khan is doing ok for this stage of his career - but his fragility means he's being moved very quickly and that they will purposefullly avoid his best domestic opposition.

Barrera, Earl, Gomez, Limond, Barrett and even Thropey can punch. Seems like you've come here to educate rather then take on board anything else anyone has to say.
Earl, Gomez, and Barrera were either shot, or much smaller men, or in the case of Gomez, both.

Limond is and was a non puncher.

So Earl was shot before the Khan fight?

Limond has always been a sharp puncher and has floored many of his opponents.

I am not getting involved in a debate that has been done to death countless times but Limond is a powder puff puncher.

He has won 32 and only stopped 8, most of these early in his career. He can dominate an opponent for twelve rounds and never look close to hurting him.

I've seen him floor a number of opponents. His tally of knockdowns scored is as high as most of the decent domestic punchers in the division - ref Sky Sports. He's not a finsher but can punch ok... that said the argument is pretty irrelevant based on the fact that Khans chin is bad. Bad.

Imo Calzaghe has more skill than Froch and would beat him if they fought but Froch has bigger balls than Calzaghe also Hatton fought a bunch of nobodys as well in defending his title
