Seriously, the major faults are the fights against Percy Young on the 23rd April 1915 and that against Danny Brownlee on 15th October 1914. Boxrec has him losing by points when he actually won both these fight on points.
I would also like to know what is required to have other fights added to Artie Powell's record. The fights I have documentation on are;
v Alf Bromwich - Won Pts 20 at Cessnock NSW
v Reg Delaney - Won Pts 20 at Cessnock NSW - Referee Jack McBlane
v Jack Kerrigan - Won KO 6 - Referee Les Corbett
v Phil Guthrie - Won Pts 6 - Referee Fred Baker
v Stan Campion - Won Pts 6 - Referee Fred Baker
v Billy Yates - Lost SD ? at Woolongong NSW - Referee Dan O'Connell
As you can see, with these fights alone Artie Powell's record changes from a losing 3-6 to a winning 10-5.
He fought out of Ern McQuillan's Gym if that helps but unfortunately I can't find any more than the documentation that was passed down through the generations.
Did I add that the "documentation" are newspapper cutouts from the related period. The exact dates are missing and the paper is old and brown.... although the results and accompanying comments can not be mistaken.
Finally also would like to advise that Jim Powell (242362) fought out a four round draw with Merv Todd at Parramatta on 5th June 1941.
