He's a like-able lad but I hate the way he is so overhyped. Yes he is very quick, fit, brave and throws good combos but his chin is poor and he will get stopped again by the next decent fighter who can punch a bit. He throws lots of punches but he will tire when in with a durable world class fighter

so what was he supposed to do? get into exchanges all the time, with his chin?

I like him and am glad for him to do well. whilst it lasts. even if he did prove me wrong by going 12 without getting chinned.

well doen Amir :TU:

i don't get it mate

veryone goes on about him being chinny

then they seem to get onto him when he fights the way any chinny fighter with a brain would fight

it's like, my feet are okay and I am tall at the weight but I'm not that strong or hard punching, so what do i do, move around like bambi on speed and try never to get involved in exchanges on the inside

but because he is amir khan, has 'made money before he earned it' and thus got a lot of people jealous, because hes done what every boxer ever does and talked himself up a bit, it seems that people expect him to fight not according to what will work for him, but according to what will help him to lose and thus help to make all these jealous people happy.

the phrase 'the lad can't win with some people' comes to mind.

i mean he charged at prescott and everyone was 'what an idiot a chinny fighter charging in like that'

oh and its even better, apparently 'now he is a world champ' he is supposed to park his brains at the door and fight like his chin is cast-iron. brilliant.

Boxing is about hitting and not getting hit.

In fact I'm going to label any fighter who takes a punch a "bum" because he shouldn't be letting it happen :D

joke

He gets chinned by prescott,so he is chinny, then he tells us he's proved all of his critics wrong and he's not chinny after all.No body said he couldn't box, nobody said he is slow, people said he was chinny and now he isn't,on what evidence

so i guess you would have preferred it if Khan had said:

@ i have proved some critics, who said i didn't have the boxing nous to go 12 rounds without getting chinned, wrong.

however i have yet to prove to anyone who said i am chinny wrong@

i mean, the fact is, he has proved some of his critics wrong on some levels.

but it seems like until he proves himself to be the terminator AK mk2 model eating RPG7 warheads for breakfast then some people will jump up and down

i am sorry he has angered you in this way and can only hope he dies of swine flu to pay him back for his barefaced cheek in suggesting he has proven anyone wrong. he surely deserves it.
