Frank Will be signing Quigg soon then? When I trained down the collyhurst for a brief time he was jsut starting out with Reece Roberts and he had come from a kick-boxing background I think, he looked very young but he had something about him and is improving all the time.

I've heard too many good things about Swifty so I'm eager to watch him. Havent seen a second of footage

Brook interests me. I like him alot but a a solid counterpuncher might have him seeing stars because of the way he leaves his chin int he air. I also think his straight right is a little telegraphed

BJS. Don't rate him. Showing an early tendancy to be easy to hit and his stance should eb a nightmare for oppoents at this leevl. You can almost forget he is southpaw. Looks to small to be a SMW and his KO record will dry up once the refs stop being overzealous. If I recall yet to drop any of his opponents( didnt see his 2nd fight) but is bring banded as a puncher

I would say in some fights he has looked better than Brook. In the McIntosh fight he showed he can fight, as well as box someone's ears off. The Oakey win on paper was a belter, but us boxing fans know that Oakey took the fight at about 90 seconds notice, so that win is slightly flawed. Brook looked sensational against McIntyre though, but is McIntyre really that good? I'm not so sure. Lomax did well winning PrizeFighter but it's obvious he's not really British class - the same goes for Billy Boyle, as well as Mr. Jones.

Tough to say which one is the bigger prospect though.

Saunders, Gavin, DeGale, Sutherland, Fury, Smith, Price I'll wait to see how they fair against British level fighters before I get too excitied about them but they are looking good so far

To be fair Oakey was training for a fight against a relatively similar in style and size opponent (though not of the same level). Cleverley was training for Dean Francis who is of course a similar level opponent as Oakey but a very different style.

You could argue either way as to who had a more difficult job adjusting their plans, but I don't think you should discredit what was a very good win and fight based on the late notice of opponent change.

As far as the even fresher prospects go, George Groves is the best of the new super-middles and I like Stephen Smith.

He was quite fat that night though - he prepared for a knockover job, not Nathan Cleverly.
