what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
I'm just looking through the schedule.
What to look forward too?
Brodie's comeback fight will be worth watching. (21/8)
Macklin V Barker will be good, and on free TV (5/9)
McDermott V Fury will be worth watching (if it goes ahead) (11/9)
Sexton V Rogan Rematch (9/10)
Then it's Froch (17/10)
There is a smattering of English title fights that I might watch, if I'm free, but won't go out of my way to watch.
But really- thats FIVE fights in three months. I know it's the quiet season, so to speak, but even so... Can British boxing do no better than this?

Yeah, not one I'd go out of my way to watch, though- I'll probably watch the live show (if it's on.)leeharding wrote:

Re: what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
Fury / Mc Dermott because we can see how good Fury actually is against better opponents
Re: what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
Booth vs Hunter on October 9th, looks like a good one.

Re: what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
I was really looking forward to seeing Thaxton vs Murray but I only see it going 1 way now if it happens also Macklin-Barker will be very intresting, Chisora vs Williams if that happens will be good to see if Chisora can deal with Williams or will he be too inexpierenced
Re: what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
Yeah- for sure, it's a decent fight- and I'm sure that if I watch it, I'll enjoy watching it. but equally, if I miss it, no big deal.leeharding wrote:really bit shocked 2 be onnest always good to c a puncher vs boxer fight but thats ure opinion.whicker wrote:Yeah, not one I'd go out of my way to watch, though- I'll probably watch the live show (if it's on.)leeharding wrote:

Same with brodie, Macklin and Rogan fights.
The only two fights I really want to see are the Tyson Fury one, and the Wrodl title one .

Re: what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
on the 7th of november there is a good fight with a british boxer in!
Re: what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
Yes, there certainly is and I'm 100% sure that it won't be changed, postponed, cancelled, jockeybanded, wigwammed, scuppered, withheld...josh fg wrote:on the 7th of november there is a good fight with a british boxer in!
Joking aside , its after bonfire night... seems AGES off!
But yeah, other than Witter, are there any good fights with Britons overseas coming up?
Re: what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
Maklin v Barker will be a cracking one to watch
Re: what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
And on ITV4 as well, so a freebie. I like the ITV 4 shows, I've missed a few as I've been at other live events.Des1 wrote:Maklin v Barker will be a cracking one to watch

Re: what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
no Lenny you havent - Macklin is on the Kessler undercard.
Re: what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
Woods v Cloud. Two points to make though. 1. 'Good fights with Britons overseas' have always been a rarity - in fact, we've had more in the last couple of years than usual.whicker wrote:Yes, there certainly is and I'm 100% sure that it won't be changed, postponed, cancelled, jockeybanded, wigwammed, scuppered, withheld...josh fg wrote:on the 7th of november there is a good fight with a british boxer in!

2. You've listed some good domestic fights already; others have added more. More will be made too because, as you say, it's the quiet time.
Re: what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
I'd hope more are made.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote: 2. You've listed some good domestic fights already; others have added more. More will be made too because, as you say, it's the quiet time.
Some evenly mathced undercard stuff wouldn't hurt.
Re: what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
Absolutely. The quality of the matches in Prizefighter is pretty sh*te really but a lot of people love it because:whicker wrote:I'd hope more are made.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote: 2. a) mostly even matches
b) two men trying their best
It's not a difficult formula but there's too many self-interested people about to make it a regularity.
Re: what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
Sexton-Rogan is going to clash with Hunter V Booth. Damn.
Re: what to look forward to in the next three months (domestic)
I'll go out on a limb here and say Davies Vs Napa is gonna be one of the fights of the year mark my words..Davies won't stop and Napa is very skilfull!! It all hindges on what Napa has left and how much Davies can keep his cool!! I do know that Davies is willing to go as far as any other man in that ring though that's why I feel this fight will be one to remember..
Fury Vs McDermott is gonna be over inside 6 rounds!
Maklin Vs Barker would have been exceptional.. :( SHAME..
