Surely that should be the most inaccurate cover of the century?Counter-puncher wrote:that is the cover of the centurybennie wrote:

Audley fights on
He's saying on Facebook that an announcement about his next fight is due for Wednesday (tomorrow).
There's speculation is could be Prizefighter, which I suppose would be a decent option, although I'm not sure the format will suit him.

Re: Audley fights on
i think the people whop do well in prizefighter tend to be the best amateur so i think being a gold medalist this format will be perfect for harrison

Re: Audley fights on
Audley's a slow starter, that's why I think 3-round bouts won't suit him.
Still, this is only speculation. It makes sense at this stage of his career, but it could be Williams 3 or even a warm-up. Who knows?
He surely won't reach the standards he set for himself now, but he remains an interesting figure on the domestic scene. Williams 3 or Sprott 2 would be intriguing fights, and he would definitely be a huge addition to Prizefighter.

Re: Audley fights on
he will find the prizefighter format completely different to the computer scoring amateur game.aggression is rewarded, something audley hates, and simply doesent do enough to win this type of format(depending on the quality of the others, obviously)
Re: Audley fights on
he should just go away no1 cares about him any more
Re: Audley fights on
It's nothing personal against Audley but..
He's completely insignificant now in world boxing.
He's been afforded so many opportunities and lost, that he no longer is a credible opponent. Williams, Guin, Sprott and Rogan have all beaten him. Plus in fights he's won, he's looked very ordinary.
It's a pity, but he's an Olympic gold.. journeyman. Actually, a journeyman usually is not afraid to trade and is overly concerned about return punches.
He should try and get back into amateur work.

Re: Audley fights on
If Audley is a slow starter then he is fucked as he is usually out of gas after 3 rounds.oliverfennell wrote:Audley's a slow starter, that's why I think 3-round bouts won't suit him.

Re: Audley fights on
it would be hilarious if he can't even win prizefighter.
no british title.
no commonwealth title.
no european title.
no world title (unless u include WBF
)
and now no prizefighter title.

Lol, I was going to say, being both a slow starter and devoid of stamina doesn't equate to winning in the squared circle.Lenny wrote:If Audley is a slow starter then he is fucked as he is usually out of gas after 3 rounds.oliverfennell wrote:Audley's a slow starter, that's why I think 3-round bouts won't suit him.
Still, 2012 will be the year of Audley Harrison, let's get it right John.

Re: Audley fights on
Can anyone think of an olympic boxing gold medalist who has had a worse career.
Terry Spinks was a bit of a dissapointment, but christ, he was like Roy Jones Jr compared to Audley.

Great shout, no I can't personally, but he's still made more money than a lot of our world champions.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Can anyone think of an olympic boxing gold medalist who has had a worse career.

Andrew Maynard was a disapointment but not on an Audley scale.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Can anyone think of an olympic boxing gold medalist who has had a worse career.
