Surely that should be the most inaccurate cover of the century?

Audley fights on

Post by oliverfennell »

He's saying on Facebook that an announcement about his next fight is due for Wednesday (tomorrow).

There's speculation is could be Prizefighter, which I suppose would be a decent option, although I'm not sure the format will suit him.

Audley's a slow starter, that's why I think 3-round bouts won't suit him.

Still, this is only speculation. It makes sense at this stage of his career, but it could be Williams 3 or even a warm-up. Who knows?

He surely won't reach the standards he set for himself now, but he remains an interesting figure on the domestic scene. Williams 3 or Sprott 2 would be intriguing fights, and he would definitely be a huge addition to Prizefighter.

he will find the prizefighter format completely different to the computer scoring amateur game.aggression is rewarded, something audley hates, and simply doesent do enough to win this type of format(depending on the quality of the others, obviously)

It's nothing personal against Audley but..

He's completely insignificant now in world boxing.

He's been afforded so many opportunities and lost, that he no longer is a credible opponent. Williams, Guin, Sprott and Rogan have all beaten him. Plus in fights he's won, he's looked very ordinary.

It's a pity, but he's an Olympic gold.. journeyman. Actually, a journeyman usually is not afraid to trade and is overly concerned about return punches.

He should try and get back into amateur work.

If Audley is a slow starter then he is fucked as he is usually out of gas after 3 rounds.

Lol, I was going to say, being both a slow starter and devoid of stamina doesn't equate to winning in the squared circle.

Still, 2012 will be the year of Audley Harrison, let's get it right John.

Can anyone think of an olympic boxing gold medalist who has had a worse career.

Terry Spinks was a bit of a dissapointment, but christ, he was like Roy Jones Jr compared to Audley.

Great shout, no I can't personally, but he's still made more money than a lot of our world champions.

Andrew Maynard was a disapointment but not on an Audley scale.

Michael Carruth maybe?
