Re: HUNTER v BOOTH ?
Ye should be a good one I have been very impressed with Booth I see him winning this one and going on to the Euro scene but it will be a very tough fight for him
Re: HUNTER v BOOTH ?
Hunter hits a lot harder IMO and he knows something about coming to the ring in great shape. I like Booth but I think Hunter will still be too much for him.

Re: HUNTER v BOOTH ?
The winner should fight Munroe. I'd put my money on Hunter, Booth is featherfisted.
Re: HUNTER v BOOTH ?
Booth featherfisted?? Na, I dont think so. No more than what Hunter is anyway. How do you think Booth is featherfisted? Have you took a punch from him?Steve89 wrote:The winner should fight Munroe. I'd put my money on Hunter, Booth is featherfisted.
Re: HUNTER v BOOTH ?
I've never seen Booth box live but I've seenHunter plenty. He hits hard and does this continuously until he just breaks opponents. At domestic and European level anyway, at least in his pomp, and I would expect him to be in good shape.Des1 wrote:Booth featherfisted?? Na, I dont think so. No more than what Hunter is anyway. As I say Booth is a very personable guy who doesn't run his mouth or make excuses like Matthew Hatton say, but I think he will get beat by Hunter assuming Hunter hasn't let himself go, which I can't see. This is one where I don't really want to see a loser.
Re: HUNTER v BOOTH ?
if this fight had been taking place before micheals loss for the world title to molitor, he would have been long odds on to dispose of booth,
and if he comes back at anything like his best he will do so now, but the long layoff and the move to featherweight (must struggle to make s-bantom) casts doubts over the result now, with booth in such good form, and weather hunters desire is still there being in doubt?
but still for me its hunter on points or late stoppage as hell be too big and strong and i feel hell swarm all over the smart boxing but light punching booth, providing hes back to something like his best!

Yes, I wasn't saying Hunter was featherfisted, I was making a statement that Booth is not, that if he is regarded as such then same could be said about Hunter then as I dont think either of them are.NorthEastBoxingFan wrote:I've never seen Booth box live but I've seenHunter plenty. Re: HUNTER v BOOTH ?
I can't see Booth matching Hunter for power, although Jason did look comfortable at the weight last time.
Booth needs to be at his cagey best to outclass Hunter. I'm note sure Hunter's fire is still burning like it used to, if Booth can outfox him, I can imagine Hunter losing interest and drop a points loss.

Unless Hunter has really re-dedicated himself, he'll get stopped.NorthEastBoxingFan wrote:Hunter hits a lot harder IMO and he knows something about coming to the ring in great shape. I like Booth but I think Hunter will still be too much for him.

SSssshhhh, I'm sure the bookies read the forums when pricing stuff up, I will be having a good chunk on Booth to win via stoppage.
Re: HUNTER v BOOTH ?
Booth is too smart, too adaptable and has too much variety for Hunter IMO. And feather-fisted? No way. He may not hit as hard at super-bantam as in the lighter weights but he's a respectable puncher.
Re: HUNTER v BOOTH ?
Hunter's main thing is/was work rate, not a massive puncher, not brilliant skills, just alot of heart, very high work rate, with decent skill and power but like I said not his main arsenal. Work rate would be the first thing you lose generally, so Im not so sure if Hunter will be as effective againts a cute, skillfull fighter in Booth now when its likely he will not reach the work rate he had a few years back and of course has he still got the big heart he had? Is he as hungry? Im not so sure. Im going for Booth to out class Hunter but thats not taking anything away from him but I just think in skill wise Booth is ahead and its unlikely that Hunter has the same work rate as he did have and if he has the same heart that could mean he takes unneccessary risks also.

Steve Molitor was so called featherfistedSteve89 wrote:The winner should fight Munroe. I'd put my money on Hunter, Booth is featherfisted.
I fancy Booth in this one,id have thought the odds wouldnt be to bad either...
Re: HUNTER v BOOTH ?
Hunter has dedicated himself & is looking in brilliant shape as all Neil Fanons fighters always do. Hunters realy up for this & looking forward to what has all the makins of a crackin fight & bk in the title mix.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:Unless Hunter has really re-dedicated himself, he'll get stopped.NorthEastBoxingFan wrote:Hunter hits a lot harder IMO and he knows something about coming to the ring in great shape. Re: HUNTER v BOOTH ?
Hunter will not have fought for a year when this happens and hasn't particularly impressed in his comeback, dropping rounds against the usual suspects.
I think he will also struggle more against a fast handed clever fighter, rather than someoe who will stand in front of him. I see Booth winning a clear decision against the stronger Hunter

Re: HUNTER v BOOTH ?
4/11 Booth 2/1 Hunter in the betting I have seen so far. Interesting...
