Larry can genuinely whack and unquestionably has some tools to work with. But he is very much raw talent at this point in time.

He desperately needs work on his fluidity and speed. He doesn't have to worry about the power as it'll always be there. Its not something he ever needs concern himself with.

So his work in the gym should concentrate massively on improving his speed, agility and fluidity of his movement and combination punching. Rather than using single clubbing shots, i'd like to see Larry really work on getting some combinations down so they truly become second nature and instinctive to him.

Same with his defense, head movement and footwork. He needs drills to improve in these areas, to loosen him up in the ring and to make these things second nature.

I know he posts on here and always comes across as a very humble and willing fella. His enthusiasm for the sport is obvious and i think he'll be more than willing to put the work in to improve his game. I wish him all the best.

I'm glad he can take criticism and he will improve leaps and bounds if he continues to do so. You made some good suggestions. I think a lot of padwork needs to be done to iron out the technical deficiencies. Getting him throwing the punches correctly first of all is the big thing. Then from there, a lot of bag work and some footwork drills. these three things are essential imo because Larry needs to work on the technical side of his game. Spend a round throwing just jabs on the pads and get a trainer to watch him and really correct the technique and get it down. Then move on to throwing 1-2's and so on. Take it slow. Now is the time to put in the work. The bag will help with footwork. Get in and out. Currently Larry is wide open to counters. Another good point was that he only has to worry about speed, the power is always going to be there, even in arm punches.

You are still learning as we all are BUT people should realise you have had very little experience were as a lot of fighters are well ahead of you and have been boxing most of there lives or have reached a high level in the am's... Give you another 10 fights and I think we'll see the best of you!!

Best of Luck anyway mate.. :TU:

I agree....good post. Your a big old fella Larry and if you hit someone clean they are going to feel it bigtime, maybe slowing it down a bit and eyeing the gaps would of made for the picturesque stoppage with a bit of hindsight, but job done.

Good luck in the future lad, im sure you`ll take some of these big talkers by suprize when the time comes.

Good effort from Larry, but the opponent wasn`t up to much. You can only beat what is put in front of you though.

I like the power and the weight behind the body shots. Still a work in progress (by his own admission) but certainly an exciting fighter to watch.

Should try to get a fight with Ellis, the first Billion dollar athlete.

I imagine it`s hard to concentrate when your opponents boobs are jiggling about like Pauline Quirk doing the mambo.

Yeah, they were a fair set of man paps. Takes some balls to get you top of on television with a set like that :TU:

I actually lost some weight for this fight and will continue to lose more as I thought I weighed less than I actually weighed in for the fight ( due to faulty scales I was using prior to the weigh in)
I suggest some Irish Moss and Supermalt - speed and power, works wonders for me! :DDD

Yes, John was robbed and Frank was right - Dick Turpin at least wore a mask!

God knows where Terry Oconnor parked his horse for the getaway!

Nice quick performance after a loss. Tysonn Fury is open for a nice tump!
