Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
Sure Mark, I'm not saying it was deliberately a good tactic, but it was a good plan nevertheless.
Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
He's scared... sorry, hate to say it... but he is.
Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
I get the feeling Audley would still fight like that even if it was Amir Khan in the opposite corner.

Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
I guess the Sprott knock out has completely shattered his confidence in his ability to take a decent shot but, that said, he was the same before the Sprott fight.

lets take the competition into account too guys. Audley was focusing on conserving his energy and looking for counters. You could see him trying to set the traps all the time. Belshaw was poor enough to walk into them.

Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
It's pride combined with a weak chin, I guess. He doesn't want to be humiliated or hurt, which is natural. Haye's a lot like Harrison, but he reacts to that fear positively.
Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
Yep, lets not forget.... in his early pro carrer his power was condemmed... this will still be the same when he steps up. Well look at Sam Sexton... he hurt Martin Rogan far more than Audley did... he's not known as a puncher.
KO'ing Scott Belshaw... doesn't make his power world class.

They used to have an amateur white-collar version.

Tell me if you got that message ffsGrilling Machine wrote:They used to have an amateur white-collar version.
Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
Audley always fights scared. He's got the talent to take this down in his sleep but watch him shit the bed again. Barret to win.
Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
God, if Harrison can't beat one of these 2 in the Semi Final then he has to retire. Both had under 10 fights!
Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
Perkins been bombed out.
Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
Wow, Hughes lookes good there.
Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
Audley will have to watch he doesn't get caught by Hughes though, what a shot!!

Couple of promoters are in talks with Hearns about getting abit of the action.BIGMARK wrote:didnt we steel it from them?Cannibal wrote:Surprised the yanks haven't stolen this concept yet.
Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
hughes wins by ko within the first minute. He caught perkins with a big punch. Good stoppage by the ref aswel. Perkins was never in it.
Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
Bet you Audley will be so tentative against this guy now!!
Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
Maybe so, just repeating what was on Sky Sports News the other day.BIGMARK wrote:but there were tourneys like this in the States beforejBacca wrote:Couple of promoters are in talks with Hearns about getting abit of the action.BIGMARK wrote: didnt we steel it from them?

Re: Prizefighter HW's *spoilers*
Cracking finish from Hughes.
He must be chuffed to have ended that one early, especially given his apparent physical condition!
Been good so far, and who would have thought only Audley would have made it through out of the seeded fighters! It's Audley's to lose now...surely?
