I'll be buying it I think it's a good idea will it show the undercard of the Nottingham bill?
Re: Primetime Sky Channel 480 now on air!
I'm going to the fight but I'll buy the PPV to watch the next day too. Great that Bunce and Kerr are back.
Although an 'independent' PPV is far from ideal, my thinking is that we should give this our support.
Agree that last nights picture was blurred. Disapointing when the Taylor fight was actually filmed in HD for Showtime.

I not paying 14.95 to watch this on the internet! This is a poor show from Hennessy not getting it on virgin!

Does Primetime have a contact telephone number? The only number I get is the crap automated one. I paid for the fight last night but there is no confirmation email and nothing on channel 480 to say its been paid for.

2 top class fights (Abrahams v Taylor and Froch v Dirrell). Good value for money in my opinion

Come on mate. The biggest fight of Froch's career was on a 24hrs delayed broadcast and now this is on an obscure PPV channel that only Sky customer's have access to. I have seen zero advertising for it, the paper's are not carrying it at all it seems and even guys I know that are quite in to boxing / MMA etc have little or no interest in this fight mainly due to the fact that they don't know it's on. Froch should be massive but no one knows him outside of Nottingham. That's down to Hennessy. I'm a boxing fan and things like this bullshit are putting me right off the sport. Promoters seem to be determined to make it as difficult as possible to actually see their product. Any attempt at luring in the casual fan or man on the street have been abandoned. Khan and Haye on PPV is a nonsense. Not surprisingly Khan's PPV outings have had pretty shocking numbers. 35,000 buys I heard for Kotelnick. That's laughable. Froch - Dirrell will probably do less.Spud wrote:I am definitely buying it - good move by Meaty Mick!!!
He is doing something different to drive his business and at the sametime its bringing boxing to our screens!!!
The Super 6 is the biggest thing to happen to boxing in years and the UK as usual is left in the dark while the states and Germany have easy access. Hennessy needs to wake up and realise that the quick buck mentality is killing his business. Don't hold your breath though.

Agreed. I don't know if it's Hennessy's fault, but it's a shame.leforge wrote:I not paying 14.95 to watch this on the internet! This is a poor show from Hennessy not getting it on virgin!

It's pathetic. Oh well. You sort of have to laugh at how $hit his management of Froch has been since he won the title. He must be the most little known world champion in living memory. It's like here's money I'm willing to give you to watch your fighter but okay Mick I'll find a free online stream to watch it then instead. And by the sounds of it that'll probably have a better picture. I feel sorry for Froch. Outside of Nottingham he could walk down a crowded street anywhere in the UK and no one would have a clue who he is. Great 'Promotion' eh?!!!leforge wrote:I not paying 14.95 to watch this on the internet! This is a poor show from Hennessy not getting it on virgin!
God I miss Setanta. There like the only thing that has shown endeavour in British boxing in the last 10 years.

Can you really see Maloney, Warren or Hearn promoting a world title defence of a British fighter IN Britain that had zero publicity and limited PPV access????
For the second fight in a row Hennessy has failed to create any buzz or interest let alone actual access to Britain's best pound for pound fighter. That's the fact of the matter. No doubt the world's against him blah, blah, blah. Fed up of hearing his excuses.
Re: Primetime Sky Channel 480 now on air!
