Adnan wasnt weight drained for that fight - his 'mistake' was to try to move away along the ropes with both hands by his waist. Dean timed him to perfection and cleaned his clock with probably the best left hook he ever threw. Adnan's head hit the canvas with a sickening thud. A well deserved win for Hickman which looks better and better given Adnan's improving recent fortunes.
I was nearly sure Adnan had to lose a lot of weight the week leading up to that fight but if I'm wrong I'm wrong. I just checked his record and he was weighing 139 for the fight which is the lowest he has ever been in his career so I'm still adamant that his weight had an impact but if I'm wrong I am wrong and I stand corrected Terry.

As i said in the piece, they have to offer the fight to the EBU contenders in order. Cook is therefore v unlikely

Giuseppe Lauri looks a likely challenger at position No.4 (I hope not though).

Witter would be good choice as McCloskey's been sparring with Theophane so at least a little unconventional.

However. I think Witter was talking about 147,.

he has said it a few times but i dont see any big fights happening for him there, esspecially not in america where he has lost or looked boring when they screened him there

It's Daniel Rasilla, go to the original link to find out all the details. Bit underwhelming I know.

Rasilla it is, dissapointed with that! The Irish prospect Andy Murray dominated him on Dunne-Cordoba undercard. Easy nights work for Paul in my opinion.

For those mentioning Cook before this announcement, am I the only one who wonders whether he could fail on the scales for Prizefighter? How long is it since he made 140 pounds?

I presume his comeback was nearer Welter?

All of them have been scheduled a few pounds over the championship limit havn't they?

I suppose becuase these arent championship contests.

If it means the fighters have more energy for the fights because they dont have to sweat off the last pound or two then thats OK with me.

Rasilla isn't too bad at short notice but he has zero chance. Murray won nearly every round against him (the official scores were way too close) and McCloskey will toy with him. The only point of interest is whether Paul stops him or not.
