That might explain why the Brook fight is off I guess, that becomes chief support for Khan/Salita, I love a conspiracy theory.

Mitchell is moving up to lightweight. I dont think its helped that he hasn't been consistant at SuperFeather, not having to defend the British title he hasn't had to make the weight and your body is like a memory store. Its a shame but no point in killing your body if it cant do the weight any more, even just for health reasons. I think this would be an interesting fight enough for the british boxing public to have this fight happen even without a title on the line, have it at a catch weight, its been done before. People want the good fights, irrelevent if a title is on the line or not

Makes sorts of sense if he is moving up he not fought at the weight in a long while. Burns should fight who for the vacant title?

there goes mitchell's chance of winning a world title. lightweight is a harder divison then super-feather.i think he would make super-feather still

Do you? :o You must know more about his body and weight more than he and Jimmy Tibbs actually do! Wouldn't say lightweight is a more harder divison than superfeather if he's not now going to be weakening himself to make weight and I wouldn't say his chances have gone.

It was more of a rhetorical question, although I'll admit I don't pay much attention to what the commonwealth belt is doing.

Remarkable he has been allowed to keep a title he hasn't defended for what will be 20 months.

On Eastsideboxing, an article say Mitchell-Prescott will probably, although is not definite yet, be contested at 140lbs!

Utter madness & stupidity if it does!

Is Burns going to get to fight for the vacant British title on the 5th of December bill?

Mitchell has got to be stripped of his title if he doesn't fight Burns.

If Mitchell is moving up to lightweight, Murray v Mitchell would be dream match up :box: , but I'd be gobsmacked if they paired up anytime soon.

That's a great call. Would be an absolute corker.
