Re: mitchell v burns
That might explain why the Brook fight is off I guess, that becomes chief support for Khan/Salita, I love a conspiracy theory.THE PRINTER wrote:i hope it aint true but ive heard from a good source that mitchell is gonna pull out of the burns fight in december.....................

Re: mitchell v burns
and i know mitchell is thinking about moving up to lightweight...............
Re: mitchell v burns
Mitchell is moving up to lightweight. I dont think its helped that he hasn't been consistant at SuperFeather, not having to defend the British title he hasn't had to make the weight and your body is like a memory store. Its a shame but no point in killing your body if it cant do the weight any more, even just for health reasons. I think this would be an interesting fight enough for the british boxing public to have this fight happen even without a title on the line, have it at a catch weight, its been done before. People want the good fights, irrelevent if a title is on the line or not

Re: mitchell v burns
Makes sorts of sense if he is moving up he not fought at the weight in a long while. Burns should fight who for the vacant title?

there goes mitchell's chance of winning a world title. lightweight is a harder divison then super-feather.i think he would make super-feather stillDes1 wrote:Mitchell is moving up to lightweight. It was more of a rhetorical question, although I'll admit I don't pay much attention to what the commonwealth belt is doing.Des1 wrote:I didn't say he wasn't British Champ.....I said hes NOT HAD TO DEFEND the British title...Meaning he has not had to defend HIS title
Remarkable he has been allowed to keep a title he hasn't defended for what will be 20 months.

On Eastsideboxing, an article say Mitchell-Prescott will probably, although is not definite yet, be contested at 140lbs!
Utter madness & stupidity if it does!

Re: mitchell v burns
Is Burns going to get to fight for the vacant British title on the 5th of December bill?
Mitchell has got to be stripped of his title if he doesn't fight Burns.

Yes we know, you opened this discussion with the first post so your point is?........ Are you after some kind of praise or an award for 'you told' us !THE PRINTER wrote:i told u mitchell would pull out the fight with burns.........
Re: mitchell v burns
If Mitchell is moving up to lightweight, Murray v Mitchell would be dream match up
, but I'd be gobsmacked if they paired up anytime soon.
Re: mitchell v burns
That's a great call. Would be an absolute corker.THEBUTCH wrote:If Mitchell is moving up to lightweight, Murray v Mitchell would be dream match up, but I'd be gobsmacked if they paired up anytime soon.
