I was glad he was in the contender because i thought at least he was a decent fighter and it would be a break from Mundine beaten up Argies.
ATM Mundine will either fight a 6-1 fighter or a 21-7 fighter for the purse of 250000 thousand......if Oganov is to get back into the world ratings he needs a good victory.
I bet he got robbed in the contender though!!!, i don't know if any of these guys could beat him except hamdan maybe.
This english guy at this other forum i post at said mundine fights like his opponent has poop on his gloves, it's true D , oganov hits harder than most guys he has fought, so what would mundine do againts oganov if he fought like geale has poop on his gloves, he would run, i think if it went 12 mundine would win a ud though.

It was more about the limited number of episodes they had (10 I think), so there was no chance of increasing the number of fighters. Some fighters did drop out just before the show, with Kariuki, Wood, and Clenshaw coming in to fill the spots.

I know it's bullshit how it ends, but i'm thoroughly entertained with Sonny Michael Angelo's antics and the tension in the house Great viewing.
Nadar is the guy you just want to see get smashed, some personality's have shone but he just gets under your skin, much preferred the bloke before he spoke.

I think we will see Pradeep singh fight Sonni after seeing the preview for next week, Singh to win quite comfortably.
Did sonny have the opportunity to fight but only if he fought Oganov? And then didn't want it? If so, it's a bit hypocritical of him to call the other fighters "cowards".
It's not too bad for a bit of mid week tv and atleast boxing is getting some exposure but i can't help but think it is just another part of the Mundine sideshow Australian boxing has come.
I hope Kariz wins. He seems nice and his record has a few losses but they are all to gun oppoents including his coach Briggsy.

I was just about to post this. I thought it was hilarious when Briggsy came up with that idea and they went straight to the call out with Daniel steping up. I'm surprised they didn't make more of it. I hope someone like Piper gee's him up about it next week

Briggs was always (and still is) my #2 favourite Aussie boxer (only slightly behind Green). Was a shame to never see him win a world title after coming so close a couple of times. Was also a shame to see him have to retire the way he did.
Always thought he'd make a good coach and it seems that is def the case.

CONVINCED he was going to die, Matt Alford said his prayers as he was pounded repeatedly by 3m waves - just minutes before champion boxer Danny Green plucked him from a thrashing South-West surf break.
The 22-year-old bodyboarder said he was physically and mentally exhausted and had basically given up the fight, having blacked out at least four times during the 30-minute ordeal last Sunday afternoon.
The scaffold worker said only his nose and chin had been above the water when he felt Green grab him at the Yallingup beach known as Rabbits.
``Growing up I always thought that Danny Green was a sick boxer. I've always had respect for him and always followed him in his fights,'' Matt told said. ``Now the guy has saved my life. He's gone from being my favourite boxer to my favourite boxer plus my hero. It's amazing.''
Matt was bodyboarding with a friend about 4m from shore when he was washed 300m out to sea. Helpless, his mate watched from the beach, while another beachgoer ran to the nearby Yallingup Beach Holiday Park to raise the alarm.
Green, 33, who was holidaying with his wife and four-year-old daughter after claiming victory over Sydney's Jason Delisle at Challenge Stadium two weeks ago, ran to the beach to help.
``The last set of waves I got hit by were so big and so gnarly,'' Matt said.
``The swell was just off its face. I couldn't swim out, I couldn't swim in. After about 20 minutes I was letting the waves take me and I was getting smashed.
``I'd hit the bottom, shoot up and have half a second before another wave hit me in the head and took me down.
``I actually prayed, I was that convinced I was going to die.''
``I would have been hit by a good 40 waves at least. I was under, it was all black and I didn't know which way was up. There's no doubt, another couple of waves and I would have drowned for sure, definitely.''
Matt said the waves had forced his boardshorts down to his knees and, worried the water-logged material would drag him further down, he decided to pull them and his underwear off.
He waved desperately waved and screamed out to people on the beach, but his efforts seemed to fall on deaf ears.
``The next thing I heard was: `Hold on man, I'm coming to get ya' and sure enough it was Danny - but I didn't know it was him at the time because I was on my back,'' Matt said.
``He sort of pulled up beside me and gave me the board and I just pulled the board off him and stuck it underneath me like a normal surfboard and he straddled me.
``We've come in and I've stood the board up and tried to stand up, but I was so knackered I fell down to one knee. I've looked up and said `Are you Danny Green? And he goes `Yeah'. F***ing Danny Green saved my life, mate.''
But Green said he did what any good swimmer would do.
``The bloke was in a bad way when I got there,'' Green said.
``He'd torn off all his clothes because he was being sucked under by them. He was pretty weak and limp. He was stuffed; on his last legs. I grabbed him and put him on the board.
``The undertow kept dragging him down and he told me later that he'd already said his prayers and was ready to die.''
Matt said that when he caught up with Green a couple of days later, the boxer signed his shirt saying: ``Stay out of the surf.''
Now, Matt wants a tattoo of massive waves with Green towing him into shore on a lead.
Matt said that though the experience had shaken him he had already returned to the surf, but he warned surfers not familiar with the break to seek advice from locals.
``Don't be an idiot like I was. I was only 4m offshore, but with my inexperience in the water and the swell, it was just way too much for me to handle,'' he said.
``It just goes to show how little I know about the surf. This Rabbits is the most dangerous place down here. I can't emphasise the dangers enough. It's insane, man. I can't even describe how lucky I feel.''
but then i heard how danny was charging fans $5 to have a photo taken with him, so it turned me off him a bit
I remember that story and was pleased to hear that.
Seems like a great guy all round (without personally knowing him).
As for the $5 a photo, yea that sucks, but it's not uncommon really for sports stars to do that. I don't like it, but a fiver isn't too hard to part with.
- Charlotte the harlot was used sparingly, much to our luck.
- Used even more sparingly, is Johnny Lewis. Why does he bother, unless he is gainfully employed behind the cameras.
- Tell Billy Hussein to keep a straight face and not to laugh in the serious bits.
- Jungle Boy remains a dope and the scripts will ensure he will get his come-uppance.
- Nadar the ham, at least tries to spice it up and most seem to be following the scenarios put forward by the script-writers.
- What little of the fight shown was brutal and the audience seemed overly exited, no doubt thanks to the show's prompters.
In summary, an improvement on show 1, but some of the fighters seem pretty quiet, allowing for the hams to take over.
