Its not a match-up that gets me excited. A young hype job who`s too thick to know when to keep his mouth shut .. and some guy I`ve never actually seen fight.

I`ll prob watch it whilst I`m waiting for the mrs to cook lunch on Sunday .. if the result sounds interesting of course  .

No bloody way. The more mugs pay for this tripe, the more often promoters will try it on.

PPV should only be for genuinely significant fights. It was bad enough with Hatton, but with Khan they are really taking the piss, the geezers beaten the weakest possible competition to get a title belt, and now he's facing a no mark, and were supposed to pay for it.

No thank you.

I'm going to watch the Huck fight on TV, or tape it, then head to the local and watch it, and hopefully the fight of the night Mitchell/Prescott.

Anyone know the times for Mitchell and Khan yet?
what channel is huck-ofolabi on?

:DDD Got to be honest if i wasn't working i'd probably be with you, it does annoy me though as much as i admire Amir and the way he has turned things around, i don't think he is a PPV fighter just yet, i mean we got Pac Cotto for free and i would of paid £100 to watch that one!

If you lads want to watch it for free and have a few cheap beers get down to a casino, they always have the PPV fights on, just leave your debit/credit cards at home and take a few beer tokens! :box:

If every good fight is worth £5, then this PPV is not worth £15 to me.

we should try to exercise viewer power AND SWITCH OFF

after Khan went to ppv for Prescott that was it for me

Khan should have been built up on itv.. it would have been good for the sport as a whole (khan has the personality to draw in the mainstream audience) but instead hes going to languish on sky with pathetic figures !!!!

good riddance

sg1985 wrote:I don't mind paying for fights occasionally, I very rarely do, we hardly ever have ppv here, although there have been more in the last couple of years, I miss Setanta!
The only PPV's we have in this country seem to be when a British fighter is involved. We got Pacquiao v Cotto, Mayweather v Marquez, Mayweather v Oscar, Mayweather v Gatti, Mayweather v Baldomir, Hopkins v Tarver, Morales v Pacquiao I & II all on normal Sky Sports but they charged 15 quid for Khan v Prescott :KO:

And I bet Pacquiao v Oscar would have been on Sky Sports had Khan not been fighting Oisin Fagan on the same night which gave Sky the excuse to combine the two and sell it as one show on SBO.

I'll be buying it with a few mates and I'm quite looking forward to it, Amir gets too much bad press IMO. He's excellente! in terms of his ability and excitement in the square ring and with his profile and backing he should be in numerous massive fight

Amir will go down as a legend IMO

so far its all about even...was watching the build up programme last night and all they show of Salita is the same video of him knocking down some bum, then another bum..and a 2003 video of him beating up someone who looked like he had just left the scouts..then Mc-Gory comes on saying it is the biggest test of Khan's career...surely beating a world champ was his biggest test? Mc-Gory says some shoit about the 3 olympians (should they include Gavin in this?) being the best prospects.."not only in Britain, but the world"...what a load of balls...they've fought bums so far, and rightly so so early in their careers but to say they are the best prospects in the world...boxing has been part of my life for 25 years and being fed this kind of crap and hype by Clarke and Mc-Gory insults my intelligence...

Adam, I can't understand how the bill topper doen't interest you. Enzo and Degale do fck ll for me, but do u not think Khan has any skill level worth watching at all?? And Salita?? He's a US amteur champ. He will bring Khan plenty to deal with. It will be a cracking contest imo.
i like watching the young tallent progress and see how they are doing, i dont care for khan much its not a secret, will be it as thrilling as khan-kotelnik?, khan-barrera? yes probably which is not good, salita doesnt deserve to be mandatory he has doen nothing to earn it

sorry NEBF it just doesnt intrest me, now im off to watch hopkins-orneleas
