what a coward tyson fury is.
Fury is a novice as a pro. I don't see how he is a coward for needing a bit more time to develop before fighting the best in the domestic division.

I knew he wouldn't take it, he will only fight Big John if he gets beat up a few times by the likes of Chisora.
He said he would give him a rematch and has clearly ducked out

i tend to agree. Mcdermott would do him (AGAIN) only this time with a right ref.

Fury vacated before he was stripped as the bout had already been postponed once before, so how is tyson a coward would you fight big bad john one handed?

why should we give him a break. he seem's to think he would beat david haye!!! he is funny at times. he was the 1 claiming mcdermott was shite. saying he would ko him in 3. he got a rude awakening. surely if he think's he can beat haye then surely his mindset is tht he would ko mcdonut in 1 round?? i don't get it. good luck to the kid. but i dodn't think he is going anywehere.

Don't think too many other novice pros would bad mouth a fellow countryman who has just won a world title belt saying they would beat them straight away. If you do this, then vacate a English title so not to fight John McDermott (for whatever reason) then you're gonna receive some criticism

No disrespect to him, but with Henessey losing their TV deal, Fury being injured and giving up his belt, I just wonder if he might end up as a "never-never" fighter.

Matthew Ellis springs to mind...

with him being a Hennessy boxer he will always have a place on Froch's Super 6 undercard fights which will get him a decent bit of exposure. Also the fact that he has a bit of Irish in him will get him on undercards of any big fights over here and if it doesn't work out for him in Britian he always has Ireland to fall back on!

Surely the Super 6 finishes soon, and Froch hasn't got long left however well he does, if he is relying on fighting on his undercards he is gonna struggle.
And often cards in Ireland are few and far between, Rogan and Dunne both look finished, Lee and Duddy normally fight in other countries, and even if the bills are there he will need a friendly promoter to put him on.

Well Froch has at least 2 Super 6 fights left I think? Brian Peters the Irish promoter/manager likes him for the time being. I understand what you are saying but for a 21 year with 9 fights isn't he supposed to rely on undercards to progress his career apart from a English Title fight or two?

Of course he is supposed to rely on undercard fights which could prove a big problem if Hennessy has no tv deal and big fights are scarce in Ireland.
I certainly think he should be on undercards for the next couple of years before he is moved back to domestic title level

Maybe a move away from Hennessy is whats needed so, Hatton would be an obvious choice given the Manchester connection if Ricky wanted him of course. Another wise move would be to get Brian Peters as his manager like McCloskey and Macklin, opens up gateways to both Britian and Ireland in the future. All depends what his contract with Hennessy is like aswell.

its in boxing news he might have to have an operation then he'll fight the winner of chisora mcdermoot in a final eliminator for the british , and the reason he vacated is because the board wouldnt give him anymore time with his injury

Im prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt. A boxing rings a dangerous place to be if ur injured, especially for a novice.

I dont know why boxers get accused of "faking" injuries so much. His hand was blown up like a balloon.

Hes young enough to make up for this. As long as he rematches John sometime in the future.
