Homicide, go do some bloody research before you start blabbing off in here! by the way Camerons Kiwi if you didn't realise that...did you know his first names Shane?News to me then. Heard Carmeron-Tua talk for last two, three years, and always seemed to never happen. Applaud Tua for wrecking him then! Just goes to show even the best of the Aussies cant even beat a gatekeeper years passed his best.

Oleg Maskaev is one former World Champ you can write off now. He got KOed in 1.54 of the first round on Friday night against Dominican heavyweight Nagy Aguilera. Seems the big O is Out of the reckoning.
Re: kali meehan
HH seems to have decided that he needs to troll somewhere, and this is the place it appears.adnileb wrote:Homicide, go do some bloody research before you start blabbing off in here! by the way Camerons Kiwi if you didn't realise that...did you know his first names Shane?News to me then. Re: kali meehan
Australian HW boxing fans see the world through rose coloured glasses. While Meehan was al fairly handy HW on
the world scene age and inactivity have surely caught up with him.
The current crop of Aust. HW's are club fighters at best & it's been that way for a long time. A 45 yr old Joe Bugner
helped prove that.
I'd like to bet we won't see an Australian born heavyweight win a world title inside 50 yrs. Problem is I wouldn't be
around to collect. You'ld have to believe in the Tooth Fairy & Easter Bunny to see it differently.
Hang in there Homicide you're on the right track.

Re: kali meehan
so you are a prophet? 50 years eh. Seeing that a reasonable time for a HW to become world champ from being born is 30 years, you are predicting that people, who have yet to born born, have no chance. Next you will tell me Santa Claus is real...
Rose coloured glasses....I don't think anyone here says the current crop of HW's are anything but good club fighters, we just don't need pudenda telling us that because a bloke lost 100 years ago we have no future. It is not helpful at all.

Don't under estimate the WBF - anything is possible!I'd like to bet we won't see an Australian born heavyweight win a world title inside 50 yrs.

Evander Holyfield is fighting Francois Botha for that title in Uganda next month.Beltane wrote:Don't under estimate the WBF - anything is possible!I'd like to bet we won't see an Australian born heavyweight win a world title inside 50 yrs.
Re: kali meehan
after kevin johnsons perfomance yesterday i'd reckon hoppa, haumono, leapai would have made it a more entertaining fight against vitali.
i know these 3 guys wouldn't be scared to let their punches go.

Re: kali meehan
At least there would have been a KO for the highlight reel...
Re: kali meehan
Boxrec promoted Johnson one place. Then again, since Vitali became champion nobody else has gone 12 rounds with him.
