Yes had a couple of the local press holding pads and wearing the body belt. The guy from MUTV was petrified!!
Never sparred though coz it's usually too close to a fight to risk any injuries.

For me Barker the top middleweight in the UK (brilliant technician). Closely floowed by Macklin.

Would be nice to see how Jamie goes thoughat the higher weight.

its easy to blame weight after a loss but he didnt look bad in his last 3 fights so i just find it funny it comes into play after a loss

As Jamie has said, his weight making issues would have come to the fore in his previous 3 fights if they weren't over so quickliy (KO2,KO2, KO3), he 'looked' very tight at the weight in those contests IMO

Chambers already answered your post in the way i would have, and i understand where your coming from, but you have to understand that if i was to DECLARE i was struggling at the weight, then everyone who knows anything about it would do what Rhodes did and ride out the storm and wait for the already low tank to run out completely. I could have been a tit about it in the post fight interview and said the ONLY reason Ryan beat me was i was weak from the weight, but that would have been disrespectful to him, and also wrong, because he fought a clever fight and showed a good defence, chin, resilience, and that they had a good gameplan. It's not an excuse, just the truth.

He's coming along great and i think he'll win the british title definately, he's 26/27? i think so he's gonna be moving up soon into championship class and i think you'll see him improve with the opposition.

Barker and Macklin just edge Mooresy for me at the moment as he is unproven at the weight, but I can see him making an impact and possibly winning a title.

I'll plump for Barker for now, I like his style....

Gonna go with the general consensus here and say it's a toss up between Macklin and Barker. Barker is much more skilled but Mack is tough as nails and has bounced back in fantastic fashion since his loss to Moore. Macklin trumps Barker in the power department too. I think McEwan and Lee (who is Irish) could very well be at those two boys level in a year or so.

You acted with a lot of class in the post fight interview Jamie. I could see that you wanted to come straight out and highlight the weight issue but you didnt and it appeared that you did so to not try and take anything away from Ryan on "his big night". I thought it was very humble and classy of you.

I think we can judge Mcewan better after his next few fights as far as i know hes going to fight twice in the next 6months hes picking it up now, but as it stands now with withs on paper i dont c u how u can say barker is better.
