Buzz, so was Braddock, so was the Cinderella Man. Braddock was the most courageous man Louis ever fought, plain and simple. Anyways, am going to post this schedule again, just so its right. Anyone who wants to renig on their deals, or secure them, with TOP, Inc best do it now than at the last minute:

Braddock/Thornton, week one [computer opponent pool]

Braddock/Moore, week two (SAV)

Braddock/Loughran, week three (Grimm)

Burns/Crumble, week one [computer opponent pool]

Burns/Gibbons, week two (fist of legend)

Burns/Toney, week three (Grimm)

So if fistoflegend and SAV or Grimm wants to pull out or confirm, please, do so now. Am done sick and tired of GoldenBuzz and jBacca's promotions cutting in on the action, trying to ruin us already. Where would we be without the ruling of commissioner Tsyzu?

maybe so, but if the other managers agree, then its their job as well to help book those agreed upon fights. next week is SAV (Moore) against Braddock, and fistoflegend (Gibbons) against Burns. if i cant make it on time to sign the fight up, then certainly they can do it. end of discussion. this is a team effort, stable against stable.

Also, Braddock would like to offer John Henry Lewis's management for a fight in week four. Burns, also, in week four would like a fight against Wales greatest Joe Calzaghe. Hopefully their management can help arrange these two bouts to happen.

IMO, as long as its a stable war, I dont see the fornicating problem. Nobody should step in the middle of an agreement between two posters. SAV, Grimm, and FistofLegend all made their offers, and I'm taking them up on them. In the end me and them will end up with titles for doing so, quicker than the rest of you lot dicking around.

Braddock & Burns Victorious In Week One!

James J. Braddock scored a ten round draw against 'Irish' Wayne Thornton at the Joe Louis Arena in Chicago, Illinois this week, proving he is capable of dealing with the true contenders in the SimWorld. Burns didn't do too bad himself, though the result was nothing unexpected, as he kayoed Eric Crumble, all 0-31 of him, in the 1st round at the Mount Royal Arena in Quebec.

Rufus Defibaugh, chairman of the Towers of Power promotion had this to say about this weeks out comes and his hopes for his stable in this 40 week Sim tournament to determine the best of the best in the 168-175 pound weight classes:

"Going 1-0-1 in the first week is very exciting for us here at TOP incorporated. Braddock gave Thornton a hell of a time in the ring, and mind you Thornton is no push over, for he gave Jose Torres all he could handle over 15 rounds. I'm positive had the fight been 12 rounds or even 15 that Jim would have won the decision. As for little Tommy Burns, he's still a mystery to the Sim division, and thats what we wanted---he is unpredictable, he is an enigma, nobody knows what he can or cannot do, come week two when he matches against Tom Gibbons in Quebec the world will finally see how good this 5'7" 170 pound little giant truly is. Braddock, in light of the draw with Thornton, I have no doubt will last the ten round duration with Archie Moore in week two as well. Whether he'll win or not I am not sure, but I can garuntee that this will be one hell of an interesting encounter!"

Braddock and Burns are hoping after weeks two and three, to get a bid on a bout with Welsh Joe Calzaghe and American Tavoris Cloud. Until then, it seems, for now, the world is their oyster, and certainly there are more things to come for these two great fighters who rode the light heavyweights and heavyweights of their times.

James J. Braddock, The Cinderella Man, now 0-0-1 in the 40 week tournament, is preparing in earnest for his upcoming encounter with the legendary knockout artist Archie Moore. Braddock, himself only been kayoed by Joe Louis throughout his 100+ bout career, feels confident that he will extend Moore the 10 round distance. His sparring sessions are with counter punchers similar to Moore's height and weight, though occasionally Braddock does spar with welterweights as well as heavyweights to work on his speed and power.

Tommy Burns, now 1-0-0 (1) in the 40 week tournament, is also working hard. His first true test among the all-time 168-175 pounders will be against Tommy Gibbons this week. To emulate Gibbons, Burns has been sparring with speedy middleweights as well as quick handed, elusive light heavyweights. Burns, the biggest question mark of the human controlled Sim fighters, hopes a good showing against Gibbons will show he is on equal ground with the rest of the Sim division.

Chairman of TOP, Incorporated Rufus Defibaugh says: "Braddock and Burns will surprise alot of people this week. Both my guys have gotten alot of criticism for being heavyweights, that they have no place in this division---but the way I see it, these two men, before becoming heavyweight kings were among the best 175 pounders in the world. I believe there is alot to fear and be concerned about, Braddock and Burns seldom lost at the weight this Sim tournament is being held at, and they can take shots. Alot of these guys are unproven, the Calzaghe and Hopkins generation never quite had an opponent who could test them. The Braddock's, Burns', Moore's, Gibbons', Conn's, Rosenbloom's, etc will run roughshod all over them."

Braddock Rages War on The New Generation

Following a disappointing loss to rival Tommy Loughran over twelve rounds, James Braddock has decided to turn his attention to this generation's best 168-175 pounders. "After seeing Tommy man handle James Toney, knocking him out in the 11th, it got me thinking. Loughran, Gibbons, the old-timers are real war horses---these punk kids call themselves old school but they dont commit themselves, they make a million bucks and sit on their ass for a year, then take an easy defense for five million. I fought the best of the best 300 days out of the year, look at the record: John Henry Lewis, Tommy Loughran, Slattery, the list goes on and on. I'm taking Sakio Bika out, and I'm gunning for Joe Calzaghe!"

Braddock's 0-2-1 record thus far has kept him out of the top 25, but it is our hope here at TOP that his ambition to defeat the young guns, will catapault him back into the ratings where he truly belongs. "In the end, it will be Moore, Loughran, Langford, Burns, Conn, Gibbons, and me. Believe that. Us old-timers, will come out on top. Rest assured!"

Tommy Burns Takes on Tavoris Cloud!!!

Taking a cue from Braddock, Burns is taking an 'easy' match-up this week against rising superstar Tavoris Cloud. While Cloud is touted as the next LHW king in the real world, here in the Sim Universe among the 'Olympus' roster of Moore, Conn, Loughran, Langford and the like, he is but a mere whipping boy. While Braddock will test his mettle against Sakio Bika of The Contender fame, Burns will take on Cloud, the present real world IBF title holder. The Little Giant of Hanover had this to say on his bout with Tavoris Cloud:

"Make no mistake, these kids may know what we know and them some, but they don't apply it. Not in the same ways we did, Langford had 300 plus fights, Loughran had over 100, Moore had over 200. Cloud is a mere baby compared to us---especially to me, I beat the best heavies and light heavies and middleweights of my time, this kid has yet to be tested under fire. This week, I'll give him that."

Conn/Burns Fight In Doubt

Due to the 'unprofessional' manner in which GoldenBuzz promotions have been dealing with TOP, Incorporated it seems unlikely that the week five contest between Burns and Conn will take place. Conn wants the fight in Mexico, Burns wants the fight in Canada. CEO of the TOP Rufus Defibaugh suggested that the two men duke it out in Belfast, Ireland since both are either of Irish ancestery or familiar to Irish fighting grounds. If the bout cannot take place, Burns will have to find a substitute, and fast. "I never seen such nonsense in my life. In my time we fought anywhere at any time. Conn wants Mexico of all places, who gives a rats ass about Mexico? If anything the fight needs to be in America, or overseas. If Conn's management cant get ahold of themselves, then by God thats three ducks by GoldenBuzz so far this tournament!", says an understandably frustrated Tommy Burns.

James Braddock on the other hand is set to take on David Telesco at Madison Square Garden. Braddock was victorious over his last opponent Sakio Bika via decision, and hopes to impress against Telesco. He hopes to gain enough victories over what he calls "this new generation" of fighters, to eventually land a shot against Joe Calzaghe, the so-called 'greatest' 168 pounder of all time.

Clinton Woods Named Substitute, Conn/Burns Fight a Shambles!

With much due apology to the fans of boxing, Towers of Power, Incorporated simply could not come to realistic terms with GoldenBuzz promotions, therefore the Billy Conn bout has been eighty-sixed, and Clinton Woods has been made as a substitute opponent.

"GoldenBuzz wanted the fight in Mexico, didn't want to deal with America, Canada, or Europe. There's no interest in Mexico, and its suspicous that Conn would demand such a place for the match to take place. We'd rather have fought Conn in his own backyard than Mexico. Woods was up for the challenge, and we're giving him the shot now. He's game, has no issues, or bullshit excuses. Hopefully this fight will make up for GoldenBuzz promotions immaturity," said CEO Rufus Defibaugh, regarding the Conn/Burns showdown being cancelled.

Towers of Power, Incorporated Accepts Jack Dillon's Offer to Burns!

3-1-0 (2) Jack Dillon looking for a fight made an open offer, and we at TOP have generously accepted! The 4-0-0 (3) Burns and the top 15 rated Dillion should make a hell of an encounter, much more so than Clinton Bonds. Both men have one opponent in common, James Toney. Dillon lost a majority decision, while Burns stopped Toney on cuts in the 11th round. At the moment the venue is up in the air, but its hoped the venue will take place in Burns stomping grounds of Mount Royal Arena!

Burns Makes Open Challenge For Week Five

Considering the public out cry for the Conn/Burns fight no longer happening in week four, we at TOP, Incorporated would like to announce that Burns is making an open challenge for any of the top five commission ranked contenders for week five. Burns is currently #6 in the world and holds more kayos than any of the top five contenders at 4-0-0 (3). The top five contenders are as follows:

#1- Tiger Jack Fox 4-0-0 (2)

#2- Ezzard Charles 4-0-0 (1)

#3- Joe Calzaghe 4-0-0 (1)

#4- Tommy Loughran 4-0-0 (1)

#5- Billy Conn 4-0-0 (1)

Burns would love to oblige any of these men, that is if they agree to meet him at the Mount Royal Arena in Quebec, Canada in week five. It will be a winner take all purse for $1.5 million dollars, put up by the TOP. So anyone who has any interest in doing this fight, let it be known in here, although Burns has his eyes dead set on the Welsh Super Middleweight Joe Calzaghe.

Cinderella Man Eats Crow, So Does Burns

Braddock's WBU title hopes against Michael Spinks were fruitless, as The Bulldog of Bergen lost a unaminous 12 round decision to the Spinks Jinx. Burns, in his last few outings, has fallen short of victory and has slipped further and further down the Sim rankings. These boys have eaten crow, despite their claims to be the best heavyweights to never be light heavyweight champion.

Braddock and Burns hope to turn it all around in the following weeks, facing off with computer opponents Kid Matthews and Wayne Thornton this week. Taking a cue from BoxBuzz, they hope to eventually catapault themselves into the top ten rankings inside of five weeks. Until then, we at TOP Incorporated must take our hats off and salute our fellow opponents and peers.
