Very true he was a double hard b@stard but was in far too many 12 rnd stinkers to make this list IMO.

He spent most of career collecting the W, not putting it all on the line for himself/the fans every time out.

Again this is why I love forums, everyone has their own opinion :TU: I still vote Eubank as said before you could of hit him with the ring posts and he would have STILL found a way to win. A warrior is someone who faces the challenges and finds a way to win regardless.

Chambers, I like Haye a lot, but there's no way he deserves to be mentioned with some of the other names on here. He's been in a couple of snoozefests and has yet to prove he can come back from the brink when faced with adversity.
He's got a great attitude but he's far from a proven warrior at this stage.

i disagree remember the mormeck fight he was hurt and dropped early in the fight then came back to stop mormeck in his own backyard
Fair point, but he wasn't on the end of a sustained beating from Mormeck only to stay in the fight consistently before turning it around. He was generally in control bar that knockdown.
I also find it hard to reconcile the concept of Haye as a warrior with the Ismail Abdoul fight and against Thompson he didn't exactly go out on his shield.
Given this I stand by my original comment that he's still got something to prove before he can be mentioned alongside the likes of the other names in this thread.

(I presume you're talking about Valuev and Abdoul)

Haye's got a warrior like attitude though, he puts himself in the firing line and wants to fight the best.

OK maybe he's a different type of warrior to some of the blood and guts fighters mentioned on this thread, but I stand by my original comment of Haye being a warrior.

Fighting Thompson in his 11th fight showed a warrior like attitude and Haye was still waving Thompson in when Haye was knackered and shipping shots, it was Booth that stopped the fight (rightly so).

The Mormeck and Mock fights are good examples of where Haye has been seriously hurt and showed a Great heart to comeback

I'm cool with that take as I'm actually a Haye fan. I think some of the fights he's going to be involved in over the next couple of years will give us a better gauge of where he is in this respect.
On a separate note, it's interesting to note how some fighters can fluctuate depending on where they are mentally. For example, Hide looked like a warrior when he kept on getting off the floor to go back at Bowe, but then looked quite the opposite against Vitali.

many say he was syaing No Mas because of Ray's refusal to engage, rather than than "the beating". Duran wanted a war, ray knew he could outbox but not outfight the crazy panamanian.

To even consider Durans hard man legacy due to that one fight is absolute nonsense.

Who? Valuev and Abdoul yes, but every other fight is a bomb-fest...Every fighter has a boring fight at some stage, Nigel Benn, probably the most exciting British fightetr ever still had a couple of boring fights EG Sugar Boy Malinga.

Ypu can probably find a boring Arturo Gatti fight....? :KO:

I hate this sort of nonsense. Is anyone seriously saying that anyone boxing professionally lacks anything you could call "warrior mentality"?

Idiocy.

Did you see Charlie Zellnoff's pro debut???

Agree with what your saying - it takes balls to step in the ring.... although some don't know quite how much it hurts. If Charlie does come back, I will take my hat off to him.
