Just occured to me that this fight is only for the IBF title. Didn't the WBC elevate Zoo to "Emeritus" champion are something..??
Is he still the Emeritus champ or did they finally strip him..? Also if they didn't strip him why hasn't this so called elevated title been mentioned..?
Did the WBC strip Zoo or not..??

[/b]emeritus
Retired but retaining an honorary title corresponding to that held immediately before retirement: a professor emeritus.
n., pl. -ti (-tī').
One who is retired but retains an honorary title corresponding to that held immediately before retirement
seem the WBC don't know what it means either

That's one way of looking at it...another option that springs to mind is money, money, money...gosh i'm so cynicalDing_Ding wrote:I think the Emeritus thing is just an honour the WBC give to their favourite fighters, maybe you have to keep the title for a while or something. I believe Mayweather has one aswell.
If they lose I don't know if they still have this "title", but I'm pretty sure the opponent doesn't get it.
