One that is getting to me a bit is Mexican Maccismo (spelling). Wow, both start with an M, lets use it all the time.

"Work behind the jab" is used quite a lot...not really a cliche of such but still. "Getting the rounds in"...can't think of anymore off the top of my head, good topic though

Joe Bloggs- "the WBA KING" and variations there of.

A few months ago Boxing Monthly described someone as "the WBU Monarch"

And most of the American writers at maxboxing have at least one line in each piece starting "Hey,........"

As in, "Hey, I don't get out much." etc etc

COmmentators' cliches:

Maybe the stoppage was a little premature but he was going to get stopped in the next round anyway.

A colourful character.

Reminiscent of Marvin Hagler against Tommy Hearns all those years ago.

What do you think of Robin Reid in this fight Dave?

'He should retire, he's not getting any younger and the older you get the more you can get hurt, I'm not sure how much he has left'.

He has a point though, if Magee has any sort of chin Reid would have lost by a country mile!! Reid looked the worst I have ever seen him in that fight.
