He's changing my opinion of him actually. I never thought I'd say that. He came across quite well via his Prizefighter interview.
And this is just plain funny.

I used to find the scream mask funny, although I was probably the only one haha. What about standing on the side of the ring at wigan shouting 9-1 9-1 9-1 because Spurs had just hammered them, and then telling anyone who'd listen that he doesnt like spurs but just did it to wind people up.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:http://news.boxrec.com/news/2010/i-woul ... hony-small

Aye, no doubt. I've seen him plenty of times and he's almost exclusively been shite. But he has put in the odd performance which makes you think 'Why can't he do that all the time?'NorthEastBoxingFan wrote:
I have witnessed him in the flesh precisely once at the York Hall in 06 and he was god-awful. I think Francis would have eaten him alive that night Ian.
Yeah, what a disgrace, losing to a seasoned, dangerous Commonwealth champion while still an up and comer.maypac wrote:he is a very annoying knob who hasn't even got the fundamentals of punching down. he got beaten by bradley pryce for gods sakes.

Probably because Hall's fans caused a lot of bother that night and put Whicker off going to the boxing againMachoMan09 wrote:May I ask why you really wanted him to win that fight? You might say world title prospects don't get stopped by a 41-year-old Carl Thompson, too.DIRT SUGAR wrote:Proper world-title prospects wouldn't get knocked out by Bradley Pryce and struggle against the likes of Thomas McDonagh. British level fighter, European title would be very good achievement.
Yes, and Haye has always been regarded more highly than Small. I'm just saying it's a similar situation, albeit at a level or two down.DIRT SUGAR wrote:Carl Thompson was a proven world-class operator and former WBO champion.
