It was... a bit of a baffling adventure into the territory of the weird... yet oddly compelling (perhaps only because I had to concentrate on it)... One MMA fighter from Serbia said he had perfect skills and would beat any boxer out there. Naturally, he didn't land a punch and lost in one round in his opening bout. The box rec results aren't easy to follow, but the Latvian won it. He wasn't a bad novice, nor was the Ukrainian he beat in the final. Gbenga Oloukun couldn't seem to adjust to three rounds. It was all so strange it might happen again.

Yeah, it was fun entertainment..... can see it being an annual thing. I wouldn't be surprised it did a good rating.... it got some decent advertising on Eurosport.

I hope you're right. Eurosport ratings for boxing are going up again consistently after dipping last year - or so I'm told. I don't know what triggers these things, but advertising what you're putting on is always a help...

I look through the boxing results almost every week and I noticed this. I saw a bit of it on TV last night but I didn't recognise the boxer's names and it didn't look very entertaining so I turned over.

Here's the link to the card: http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=600372
