i know it merely confirms what alot of us thought of Hayes empty promises to want to fight any of the K-brothers .. But its a fight i'd really like to see. I'd even put a waer on Harrison to win...

I just hope that haye stops talking .the shyte about the k-brothers being his number1 target.

People seem to hold Haye solely responsible for the Klitschko fight not happening but when is boxing ever that simple? I think you're deluded if you think Haye doesn't want that fight, but he's not going to bend over backwards for them and nor should he. He's in a position where he doesn't have to accept the thin end of the wedge financially but it seems like the Klitschkos and their people are determinded to be seen as the ones with all the bargaining power. Like Froch, Haye wants to cement his legacy by fighting and beating the best - I firmly believe that - but he's not going to do on their terms.

Haye-Harrison is a reasonable marking time fight as far as I'm concerned. It will make money for both fighters, it will catch the imagination of the public, and there will almost certainly be a knockout.

wlad making that video makes it appear that if haye-wlad negotiations fail, then it's all haye's fault. we don't know why the fight hasn't come off. for all we know, wlad might want options on haye that are unattractive to the british fighter, as well as german location and rematches for both brothers provided haye wins.

cruiserweights tend not to make much money in cruiserweight title fights, and then usually become failures and gate-keepers in the heavyweights. so we can't begrudge guys like haye and adamek taking an easy cash in fight. it's going to be the klitschkos, in all likeliness, who are going to retire with very weak resumes and few fights that were compelling or regarded as a big international event.

on the other hand, it's a bad time for haye-wlad negotiations to fall apart, because the IBF were going to postpone the mandatory of wlad's (povetkin) in order for wlad and haye to unify. let's say they resume negotiations at a later date, both fighters may have mandatory committments and the fight will get further and futher away.

The Klitschko fight can still happen. This fight would just be something for the interim.

Haye would destroy Harrison, Harrison has a shaky chin and Haye has massive power, I would go with Haye KO3

sky will be able to hype audley due to his size and punch, against haye's lack of size and questionable chin.

i do see it as a msmatch because harrison - even though he has some useful tools - is one paced, amateurish and seldom fights with convction. haye will be too fast, experience in world class and too mobile, but i doubt he blows him out in the first few rounds.

i'll pay to see haye break audley down. if audley lands so much as a glove on haye, you can bet that the maudlin bruno fans will come out saying what frank would have done to haye.

come off it, what evidence is there to suggest anything will happen BUT audley getting blown out in the first few rounds if not round 1.

haye will need maybe half a round to find his range and realise audley has no defence, then just time one right hand and its over.

Audley does have 1 punch KO power. If only a small threat, it is still there. Haye's world could come crashing down, and us lot would have Audley as our World Champ :-?

I would like to see Haye retire Harrison for ruining boxing on the BBC, that we bloody paid for.

I still find it amazing Haye has only had 25 pro fights when you consider the bloated records of some these days. Cannot knock what he has achieved in a short time at 2 weights can you?

This won't be Audley's next fight. It's just crap that the Newspapers make up. I may be wrong as I haven't bothered to check but he isn't ranked by the WBA and as EBU champ he isn't entitled to a WBA ranking like he is with the WBC.

just because it'll end up being a mismatch doesn't mean it'll be a 1st round KO.

haye isn't knocking out the heavyweights as fast, but then again he loves an upright target and audley is certainly that.

yes it does. audley has no chin and no defence and Haye is a big puncher who doesn't need long to land. If Haye had landed that round 1 shot he put on Ruiz on Audley, Audley would be sleeping. That's what will happen.

Olympic boxing champions rarely fade away; the gold medal makes them forever marketable. Take Audley Harrison, the 2000 Olympic super-heavyweight champion who suffered a number of defeats in recent years but was brought back each time until finally the hesitant, fragile southpaw from Wembley managed to pull the trigger in a fight he was losing against Michael Sprott last month. He left it until the very last round to flatten Sprott for the vacant European heavyweight title.
The title has secured Harrison a crack at fellow Londoner David Haye for the WBA heavyweight crown later this year in London. Haye disposed of his mandatory challenger John Ruiz in nine rounds just recently, so this is a mandatory defence for the heavy handed champion, a soft defence, a marking-time affair, a loosener - OK, I’ll say it. Haye gets a patsy before he takes on the Klitschko brothers.
Harrison is 10 years older than Haye at 38 and 'chinny', if his first fight with Sprott is any gauge. Sprott, only a small heavyweight, poleaxed the giant Harrison with a left hook in three rounds at Wembley in 2007. Harrison was then outgamed by an Irish brawler by the name of Martin Rogan, who outscored him over 10 rounds in 2008, but entered the embarrassing Prizefighter last year, an event held over three rounds, and found the format to his sensitive liking and picked up first prize. He copped a real break when his showdown with muscled Pole Albert Sosnowski for the European title was gazumped by WBC heavyweight king Vitali Klitschko, who defends against Sosnowski next Saturday in Germany. Sosnowski vacated his EBU belt and in stepped little Sprott, who rocked Harrison in the second round and outworked him until Harrison came to life spectacularly in the 12th. It ranks as a good revenge win for the new champion but typified his career to date: long spells of inactivity punctuated by the odd burst. The man is an exercise in frustration.
In contrast Haye is all aggression and power – all action. He switched to heavyweight after a thrilling spell at cruiserweight and destroyed Monte Barrett in his debut at the weight in 2008, dropping the American five times before it was stopped. He picked up the WBA belt with a smart 12-round decision over Nikloiai Valuev a fight later, wobbling the gargantuan Russian in the last with a big left hook, and defended against Ruiz in his last fight, flooring the gutsy Puerto Rican four times.
His fearless approach breathes new life into the long-stale heavyweight division and obviously separates him from the lucky challenger, who almost certainly would have lost to Sosnowski and fights plain scared. Ask yourself this: can a man who lost to a crude brawer like Rogan defeat a slick, punishing champion like Haye? No, of course he can't. Haye will jump on Harrison and finish him as soon as he lands cleanly.

I've got absolutely no interest in seeing Haye/Harrison. What if Harrison clipped Haye with a lucky shot? I don't give him much hope but there's always that chance with Haye's defence and Harrison's ability to produce the occassional peach of a shot.

If Haye's looking to make a few more defences before attempting a Klitschko then there're far more credible fights out there.

Jesus, can you imagine what it'd be like on the current scene if Harrison were to pull an upset. For that reason alone, this fight can't happen.

see, you're already starting to BELIEVE...

imagine if it sells out in terms of crowd and does massive PPV #s. it will help haye in negotiations for the genuine big fights.

also, maybe i'm curious to see if haye can get away with it, after abusing audley in a sparring session, publically saying audley is nowhere near qualified enough for a title fight, and denying him a place on his undercard.

If Charlie f'n Zelenoff can go to "all that trouble" of filming himself with a digicam and uploading it to YouTube, it's hardly a stretch for Klitschko to do likewise.

All that hype and talk and he goes for this

That is assuming it is true of course

It would be KO1 for Haye in Khan/Prescott fashion so I wont be paying for it. I would love Audely to win and I think if he lands first he could shake up Haye

Life savings, bank robbery, piggy bank and every other way of getting money would all be lumped on the under
Perhaps you'd like to take a look at Richard Dunn. Jean Pierre Cooperman and Rudi Lubbers records and credentials before assuming every heavyweight champion has to fight HOF opponents every six weeks.

Its a shit fight on form line, I agree. But if Haye beats Klitschko next, what the fkk does he do then?

Harrison is a £1million pound fight, and a terrestrial or box-office sellable fight.

And by the way, for all the critics of Harrison - the supposed dominant heavyweight of this era - Vitali - is dog shit too. He's fight Albert Sosfkkingnowski for FFS. On the back of a list of Russel Grant size opponents.

I think Haye should fight the Klitschko's but they should man up too. Why isn'tVK fighting Valuev, why Sosnowski? Now thata a dogshit fight.

Vitali wanted to fight Valuev but the Russian turned down numerous approaches from the Klitschko's. According to some reports, the final offer he turned down was in the region of $2.5m. I agree Sosnowski isn't the best opponent but he was the European Champion at the time the fight was offered and has more of a right to be there than the likes of Kevin Johnson et co.
